1-Piece Stainless steel ball valves with PTFE seals & seats by DERNORD Stainless steel ball valves with PTFE (Teflon) seats & seals offer excellent corrosion resistance for most applications. Stainless steel & PTFE work well in applications including but not limited to water, oil, gas/air, light alkali's, biodiesel, fuels and alcohols. These ball valves are fitted with tight seals to ensure no leakage and a long lasting seal after many years of frequent usage. All metal pieces of our valves are 304 Stainless steel, including the nuts and other exterior metals. Other manufacturers cut costs by using 201 Stainless steel on these parts which results in a rusty looking Valve over time. DERNORD manufacturers its 1-piece ball valves with all 304 Stainless steel parts so you can be sure there won't be any rust formation from external air or water exposure over time. Available in both Wog200 and Wog1000. Wog200 are considered ideal for most general applications. Wog1000 are for high pressure and industrial applications where of the Valve are preferred.

It's a quality made ball valve and nipple. 304 SS makes it corrosion free.

Machined stainless steel fittings threads don't seal as well as brass which is softer and deforms a little when tightened so you need to seal these well and tighten joints more when doing stainless to stainless connectioons. I used Oatley white pipe dope rather than teflon tape (as is often recommended for stainless) and used a large pipe wrench to tighten well. I did use a little teflon tape near the outer edge after applying dope so the messy pipe dope did not go everywhere when handling. I applied water pressure and checked for leaks (which can be very slow ) after 24hrs.I like the right angle design rather than a needle valve as this gives instant feedback as to whether valve is closed or open.

This product threads are ½ inch NPT but the problem is the valve opening is not. It's more like 3/8 or less. This greatly reduces flow rate which in my case is a deal breaker. I bought a brass high quality valve instead. The build quality also seemed cheap with "Made in China printed on the handle" on just an all around cheap look to it.
