DERNORD ball valves are made from stainless steel SS304 or SS316. A ball valve is often placed on the ends of CIP piping or racking arms. Available in mini ball valve, 1 piece ball valve, 2 piece ball valve, 3-piece ball valve, full port ball valve, all DERNORD ball valves are installed inline in any position to maximize flow capacity. DERNORD ball valves can handle 250 PSI WOG, while some of them are rated up to 1000 WOG. All valve handles swing out from center, and some models allow locking of the handle.

Application

DERNORD Stainless Steel Valves can be used to control the flow of various types of fluids such as air, water, steam, various corrosive media, mud, oil, liquid metals, inert gas applications and radioactive media.

Selecting the correct size

Pipe size is widely considered as nominal and sometimes referenced from the former iron pipe size (IPS) system. Pipe size is not a measured size but rather an industry designation and it does not represent the true inside or outside diameter.

A plumber wanted to rip out my wall and replace the entire faucet structure inside the wall, I was looking at about $500 to replace the guts of the faucet because of a constant drip. This faucet is in a guest bath and rarely used but I did want it to work when necessary and not to leak endlessly. This ball valve looks nice, functions perfectly, does not leak, and is easy to turn on when I would like to use it. This is a winner on every level (screws on easily, low cost, pleasant appearance, and function functions perfectly). Great product and great solution to my leak problem!!! Thank you I am very happy!!!

Serves the purpose. Screwed into service port on gas meter, 1/4" plug on top, connect my flare fitting line and open gas valve.

Brought for a BHO oil extractor that I'm building. They hold pressure fine, but for vacuum they slowly leak down to 0hg. Wouldn't recommend them for a BHO system, but for something with pressure only they would be great.

These are the best longest lasting ball valves I have ever used. I have tried dozens of others and they all suck. The handle stays on for the most part and the don't leaks pressure when at 1200 psi.

Nice upgrade for my Makita MAC210Q air compressor. The factory drain valve handle on the MAC210Q is made of plastic, and broke off. I highly recommend everyone to replace their factory drain valve before it breaks, and replace it with the Dernord, all stainless steel one.

Put a drop of Lok tite on the valve screw. Mine required constant tightening, all good now.

A nice looking compact valve, but mechanism quality is a little loose and sloppy, not as good/smooth as regular hardware store valves. Magnets stick to it, so I also doubt the "stainless steel" claim.
