Your cart is empty.The Design Engineering Exhaust Wrap Kit is an all-in-one kit for wrapping a set of headers or motorcycle pipes. Kit includes two 2" x 50ft rolls of Black Titanium exhaust wrap, Locking Ties and Free Locking Tie Tool. Design Engineering Black Titanium Exhaust Wrap, with LR Technology, is made from pulverized lava rock, stranded into a fiber material then woven into a proprietary weave. Black Titanium wrap is engineered to be stronger than most wraps and more durable for improved thermal performance and reliability. Designed to be pliable and resistant to chemical oil spills and vibration breakdown; it secures tightly without pre-wetting and is able to withstand direct heat up to 1800°F and intermittent heat up to 2500°F. The header wrap kit is enough for any set of V8 headers. The Header Wrap Kit will wrap from the top of the header where it bolts to the heads all the way down to the collector. Exhaust Wrap Kits save you time and money. NOTE: Wrapping of the catalytic converter is not recommended, as overheating can lead to reduced lifetime of the converter. Instead, try the DEI Corvette Catalytic Converter Shield (SKU 010069) or create your own shield using our Floor & Tunnel Shield II (SKU 050501) - each sold separately.

I had a mechanic install a set of Kooks headers to my 1999 vette. Rather than wait for a ceramic coating (major backorder issues) I decided to go with this product. I'd read that "lava tape" was pretty great stuff. The mechanic was impressed. He said the metal clamps are actually just used to hold everything in place until the tape adheres to the pipes. They smoked pretty good after the install for about 20 min but since then no more. No bad smell either. Even if I had ceramic coated pipes I think I'd add these wraps...why not protect your investment as best as you can? Nothing beats the look of chromed headers but this stuff looks pretty good...like carbon fiber.

Great stuff. Good quality. Cheaper than your local auto parts stores. Make sure to watch a few videos of how it's wrapped and to measure it out properly. It's a lil cumbersome to work with. Overall looks good and serves it's purpose. 3 stars because it was missing the tool.

I don't know who to blame, but THIS particular advertisement says the tool to tighten the stainless steel ties would be included...IT WAS NOT. Then in the actual box, the LISTED CONTENTS said silicone spray was supposed to be in the box...IT WAS NOT.There is an advertisement issue with THIS particular listed item OR quality control problems. This is NOT a 1 stop solution, you will be inconvenienced 1 way or another.YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED âš ï¸

Would have gave it five stars the product was great every thing looks good I went to put it on and the was no locking tie tool don't know where to go from here cant get the ties tight enough

Not do great,,,wrapped per instructions and this wrap is awful,,,would not recommend!!!
