My car is an Audi TT Roadster and I recently replaced the speakers behind the seat and had initially did not use this product. The area the speakers are mounted is a metal box which would reverberate taking out the detail of the bass and creating rattling. After installing I found the vibration is gone and the depth of the bass has better detail.Regarding installation it easy because this product is flexible. In my case I cut out about a 1/3 section of the foam base in the baffle cone for wiring and air movement. I placed the baffle against the metal wall then mounted the speaker frame mount on top. To secure the frame I had to blindly install nuts behind the metal wall which involved pushing the baffle to the side for access (used spring loaded toggle nut with a foam washer).Again the result was great and I plan to buy another pair when I replace the component speakers in the doors.

The material is sufficiently thick but also easy to trim to fit using ordinary household scissors. Good protection and improved sound, would recommend.

I recently put these in the driver/passenger side doors of my 2000 subaru rs sedan with 6.5 in Polk dxi650 speakers. My main reason for getting these was because when I installed my door speakers it was snowing out and I noticed water dripping directly onto the speakers. So, I rigged a thick plastic sheet into the speaker hole on both sides, placing the speaker and wires in the created cavity and leaving enough plastic on the edges so when I bolted the bracket back on it would create a seal so no water could get in.This did work but, my speakers couldnt breath. Now these arent very bass heavy speakers but making it so NO air could flow from behind the speaker made the plastic bag cave I made for the wires/speakers breath inward and rattle like crazy causing a super annoying sound on top of my already rattling door panels. So I needed a fix and thats what these baffles are for.I did have to modify my original brackets though. The brackets come with a sort of half cone protruding from behind creating a half cavity, for depth and to protect the speaker (but this still failed with rain water depending on how your speaker actually fit in the brackets with its terminals). I cut off the half sphere lumps to create a smooth flat bracket, inserted the new foam cave (so it goes foam brackets from speakers->plastic bracket screw into door panel->baffle->speaker) and positioned the speaker so the terminals are on the bottom. Cut out an area I felt wouldnt allow water but air could get in, and mounted.This did meet my requirements for water proofing, rattle reducing and plastic eliminating but there are drawbacks after experiencing the setup for a few weeks. First, while the bass is reduced this makes the rear speaker bass seem much more potentb thus throwing off the entire balance of rear/front. Some music is ok and there isnt much difference but a lot of times Id say my front speakers sound 60% the volume of my rears (adding +1 to my front with the front/rear balance of the head unit causes such a great difference in power output it makes the rears sound invisible). The baffles will also redirect the sound output to directly forward. To alleviate this cut more foam off the back of the baffle. I couldnt because of the rain issue which in this case causes the music to shoot at my feet instead of giving the "atmospheric" effect. Its not nearly as bad if you drive alone but when someone is in my passenger seat I can barely hear the front speakers unless the song is heavy on treble.All in all a good product for what I needed without fixing my window seals, buying dynomat and spending tons more money. My fix for the difference in sound dynamics was to buy an app called TuneShell for my iPod touch so I could better tune the music equalizer and take away the bass more subtly and raise the treble than what my head unit allowed.If your car has leaky windows, if you need to direct the sound output directly forward, cut out bass for an amp, etc, buy these. They are cheap and will hold you over until you can plan accordingly.

These baffles are very sturdy and well made. Wish I could use them, because they are DEEP. Even the "slim" design is very deep. I ordered a set of 6x9's and a set of 6.5" and could not use either on my 2020 4runner. They didn't barely miss - they were too deep by 2 inches or more. I can't imagine what kind of vehicle has the kind of clearance you need to use these, but if you do, they seem to be really well made.Best way to check - roll your window all the way down, pull off the door panel, and measure from the surface of the speaker mount to the nearest obstruction, which will likely be the window, window regulator, or the crash bar inside the door. Mine were not even close. The 6x9 baffles needed 4.5" of clearance, I only had 2.25". The 6.5" baffles needed 4" of clearance, I needed 3". So take it from me, measure first!

Short story: useful to reduce frame rattle and to protect speakers in trunks, but sound difference is user preference.Long reviewI bought a set of these (one order comes with two units) to test with new rear speakers in an 07 Corolla.They most likely will fit the magnets for your aftermarket speakers, I was installing JL 6x9s And they fit with about .5-.75 of an inch left between the magnet and the bottom.Personally, I cut the bottom out of them. After testing one speaker with the baffle and the other without, cycling between left and right output on the HU, the baffle seems too small of an enclosure for my speakers to really have decent bass. I cut out the bottom and a bit of the sides, still using the edges as a vibe absorber between the speakers metal and the car's frame as to not cause rattle and the sides stayed to help protect the speakers and wires from things being tossed in the trunk.

Installed these as part of an overall upgrade to my TJ 99 sound bar, worked well to reduce the vibrations in the sound bar and provide more depth to the sound and improve the overall sound

Die Boom Mat passt super in die Türen meines Fahrzeugs, habe den Boden abgeschnitten, damit das Türvolumen als Bass Resonanzkörper weiterhin genutzt wird. So sind meine nicht so ganz billigen Türlausprecher sehr gut vor Wasser das von oben in jeder Fahrzeugtür runter tropft geschützt und auch wenn man mal in die Waschanlagt fährt ist die Boom Mat immer noch der beste Nässeschutz und erspart den Kauf neuer Lautsprecher. Bin zufrieden mit dem Top-Produkt, kann es jeden nur weiter empfehlen der vor hat sehr hochqualitative Türlautsprecher zu verbauen, so muss er auch die Waschanlage und Tagelangen Regen oder langsam abschmelzendes Schneewasser nicht mehr um seine Türlautsprecher fürchten muss. Das das Wechseln der Originaltürlautsprecher auf z.B Türlausprecher von Hertz oder von Audio System, ein "echtes Wunder" bewirken, muss ich nicht näher erklären, liegt an der Elektronik der Weiche und der Qualität des Chassis und des Hochtöners, das wissen die Car Hifi Insider eh schon alle. :-)
