I just got this last year and I'm glad I did. I've seen the oscillating tool used when the guy did my deck and I borrowed that to get the paper cleared off my steps (the paper was under the rug we pulled up). I figured I need one. After all, who doesn't need tools!!! However, I found myself using both items when we retrimmed the doors in my family room. The new trim was 2"x31/2" which was longer than the old trim. So I grabbed my oscillating tool and cut off the difference. It worked great. Then I had to sand the wall where the trim was and the sander worked great!!! I am very happy with both of these. Now if I can only get the 12-Inch Double-Bevel Slide Compound Miter Saw! Cutting the trim with my circular saw was a pain.

Great set everything is perfect. The battery is a beast. Full charge for like 20 mins. Tip if you haven't used multi tool until now check videos tips and tricks you will thank me latter.

The battery that came with this combo is shown on the left. I beleave this is the "older" design. The right battery was purchased with a different combo tool. Both batteries are dated 2023. The right battery keeps the fuel gauge stay LEDs lit for a few seconds after releasing the button. The left one turns off when the button is released. The sanders are work very well.

I am a fan of the Dewalt brand and both of these tools are excellent. I wish I had purchased the multitool years ago. It is incredibly versatile.

To buy Dewalt in combos is always advantageous. The combined price of the combo is always better than the tools alone. I would love to see combos of some other tools I don't have, but I digress...The multi-tool is that tool you won't use much, however when you do resort to it, it is the only one that can do it well done and easy. A nice addition to anyone's arsenal of tools. This in particular is sturdy, powerful and feature reach. However I think it all boils down to the system you have: I have Dewalt batteries and charges so doesn't make sense to buy another brand oscillating tool unless it lacks a desired feature (which is not the case here).The sander is something I long wanted for small jobs around the house. If I was going to use it repeatedly I would prefer a corded one, but for my sporadic necessities the portability of the battery operated is key. There was one occasion were I borrowed a battery powered sander from my brother and spent more time charging the dead batteries than sanding, hence my observation above.In general they are both great tools and nice additions to my set, I am not a professional who uses these tools on daily basis but I do know about tools over the decades of DIY repairs and creations around the home. I like Dewalt because they never let me down like the cheaper price/low quality brands.Ah, the quick charger is by far the one I most use. The old charger is now almost unused.
