The kick back protection works amazing for when it bites and shuts the grinder off. The button lock placement isn’t the best but the lock on is nice. It’s got a lot of torque and is hard to bog down. It’s probably about the same torque as a corded one. I like the brake feature and it works well. But it does chew down the battery’s really quick, even the 5ah power stacks. I would highly recommend it to any mechanics who need a good grinder

I've been wanting one of these for a while -I have several Harbor Freight corded grinders and it's a pain to run cords for just a quick cut or to grind a small task.This is light, powerful and fast with my 4 inch diamond wheel.It is a little rough on batteries though.If you have a lot of work, get a lot of batteries or stretch out the cords

I got this to add to my suite of 20v tools. My kit came with the more typical trigger switch but I don't like that feature, especially for longer sessions of grinding (just my preference). This grinder is powerful, lightweight and the ergonomics are great. The motor is powerful and efficient, and did a relatively long grinding session, cutting rebar, grinding welding beads flat (so people don't see what a crappy welder I am!). And it has a nice brake, that came in handy when one of the rebars pinched the wheel, and it basically "slipped" as the brake should, preventing an unpleasant kickback, since this is a powerful tool. Also like the slide switch design, eliminating the need for a separate lock-out switch you have to deal with. It has a shaft lock button on top of the grinder, allowing easy on/off installation of the wheels, and not sure if they made it this way but I don't need tools to remove/install wheels. Overall great 20V Mas XR grinder, and love the Dewalt 20v system, overall.

This works fine. I got it to work on motorcycle gas tanks. I wish the guard was adjustable. Also, I already has the 20v max batteries but only the batteries for the drills. With the drills, the small 20v max batteries I have work forever but for this thing, I only have 2 minutes or so until they run out so I'd recommend getting the larger battery if you don't already have one.

Dewalt is the best for the money and power you can’t beat a classic Dewalt tool. My predecessors used Dewalt, now I do. Great tool to have as a craftsman to cut many things. Always wear PPE and avoid having loose clothing. I’ve had these things suck up my old shits every now and then lol.

I recently purchased an old Farm that came with a lot of junk and scrap metal. I've been going through a lot of it, trying to scrap it and get the farm cleaned up. Instead of running cords everywhere, this is making quick work out of a huge problem for me. Drains a 4 and 5 amp battery pretty quickly. So be prepared to have several. Would recommend picking up something in the 7 to 9 amp range for larger cuts.

Es potente considerando el tamaño que tiene. Lo utilicé para cortes en concreto y funcionó muy bien. Si consideran su compra serÃa ideal que lo hagan con una baterÃa Flex Volt por lo menos de 9 amperes, pues su consumo es alto para mantener su potencia.Espero continúe asà la potencia del equipo.
