Lighter than expected with good power. Be sure to use the 4AH battery as the 2AH battery did not give as much power.

A lot of power! It's a couple steps up from entry level reciprocating saw. Can take a beating and would recommend atheist a 5ah battery or up.

This review is for the DEWALT 20V MAX XR DEWALT 20V MAX XR Cordless Reciprocating Saw.Frankly, this is an extremely handy tool. The fact that it is cordless makes it much handier to use for quick jobs. It also seems to have about the same amount of power as my 20 year old Milwaukee SawZaw.If the saw foot isn't braced against the material tightly it will vibrate fairly severely, but this is no different than the corded Milwaukee.With a 6AH battery, the saw is well balanced and easy to handle.The battery life seems reasonable to me. All of my uses have been for moderate use during a day (cutting a few limbs or roots when digging and for building teardown). I'm sure a single battery wouldn't last for more than a few hours of heavy use.Blade changes are very easy.Overall, the saw is well built, easy to use, and I find myself reaching for it fairly often for quick jobs. Note that this is NOT a circular saw or a jig saw and will not produce cuts as nice or straight as those saws.

Works fantastically and feels like a very high quality tool. I’ve used this for several projects already and it cut through wood and metal very quickly and the battery efficiency is great. Replacing the blades is easy and intuitive and the unit itself couldn’t be easier to use. There’s a safety that can be turned on and off and a light to make it easier to see what you’re cutting. The pressure-sensitive trigger makes it very easy to control the speed of the blade.There is a little bit of weight to it and it is intended for 2 hand use, but that helps you to keep it a bit steadier. It isn’t quite as small as one handed models, but it’s a good all purpose reciprocating saw.

Powerful tool. Used to remove palm stump. Dug out roots from deep in the dirt. Just one of many uses.

I waited over two weeks for an item that seemed to be previously opened? Delivery date changed 2-3 times but I wasn't busy and didn't care as much.Now I do because I can't tell if it's been opened before. I've had boxes that were glued, and some that were taped (when buying new from a store in the past years) This one seemed open and it had me irritated from the start. It's spotless and seems brand new, but I hate the feeling of uncertainty on simple purchases but I am a little OCD at times. At $127 for the tool only and seeing what other options with batteries cost, it should be fine. I guess compared to shopping in the stores these days with over zealous security and everything STRAPPED DOWN because of thieves, I will suck it up and be happy I had the money to even purchase it, lol.It is brand new, works fine, I'll be ok. 🇺🇸🫡

While I have not had a chance to use it, I did try it to insure it did not vibrate as badly as my previous reciprocating saw that had a tendency to break expensive blades and the deWalt is definitely smoother. I purchased this model because it had the best personal reviews which is a good indication of its quality.
