This 60v combo with the supplied 9ah batter is an excellent combo. 1. the blower is very powerful, well balanced, and the battery last a long time. It is also pretty quiet when compared to a gas blower. The string trimmer is also very powerful on high and powerful on low. I find that low mode is good for most things as I trim my lawn about weekly. In areas where the grass/weeds are extremely tall or thick, then I use high mode. High mode does drain the battery but it does an excellent job. It took me a little use to get used to the tap to let the trimmer line out. It is very sensitive and hitting a small rock or the ground by mistake (without an intentional bump) lets the line out. Once I got used to the feel things went very well. I had no issues of the spool simply letting lots of line out. I also added the edger and that is working very well. Powerful, easy to attach/remove, and effective in how it works. I can adjust the blade depth and it makes my edging job must faster then simply using the string trimmer.Overall I am very pleased with these two DEWALT tools. I am slowly moving from gas to battery.I do recommend that you get a second 60v battery. I have 2 and that is more than enough for me

Was stuck with the age old dilemma of servicing my current gas powered tools or investing in some new electric tools. After doing some research I decided to go with the 60V set and I've been super impressed. The trimmer has more power than I'll ever need and the blower replaced my backpack blower which has nearly equal performance which I wasn't expecting. Just wish this set came with two batteries.

I'm a fan of what works. I don't care about brand, but DeWalt has stepped it up and provided a very good gas replacement for weed eating/edging/blowing. Battery life is about 30 minutes on the weed eater, 15/20 minutes on the blower. It's a little heavy, but not more so than gas. Feels well built. It's easy switching attachments. One thing I hate, is the plastic weed eater bump feed. After a month or two, it will need to be replaced because the cement eats the plastic away. Everything else has been great.

The power head and string trimmer didn't work when I got it. Customer service sent a new one that worked, and was no issue. Amazing customer service. The Blower, Battery, and Battery Charger all worked great. Will recommend this 10/10.

Are usually run the Weedwhacker at half power as that’s all I need generally and kick it up to high power for really tough stuff. The blower is extremely powerful with so much thrust that I find it somewhat tiring to use for a long period of time, on the other hand I get lot done in a short amount of time.

I contacted Dewalt customer service and they replaced it even though it was outside of warranty. I told them about other similar reviews on Amazon about this blower. I suspect the replacement blower is going to have the same problem however unless they fixed the design flaw. Dewalt makes a lot of great power tools. The leaf blower isn't one of them.

Currently I have nothing to say about the weed whip as I haven't used it yet. The Blower on the other hand I used a bunch already. It is a very powerful blower that does nice work even with pine needles. Before I got this I was using a black and decker leaf hog. So not having to drag a extension cord everywhere was a huge plus. The only downside is the battery life. With the 60v 9AH you get. I get about a half hour before it quits at full power. I also have 2 other 60v 6AH batteries I use which I get about 15 minutes a peice. All in all I would definitely recommend this tool to someone who already owns 60v Batteries. Otherwise unless you just want a powerful tool for small things like blowing off a driveway.
