Light weight. Easy to use. Love that I’m not stepping over and adjusting cords. Has plenty of power and goes a great job.

After pulling a start-rope for the last 20-years, this edger has moved me to the present century. Takes a bit to acclimate yourself to the weight distribution/balance but it is sooo worth that minor effort! The accompanying battery is perfect. I think a larger batter would be counter productive due to the increased weight. My walkways run about 250’ and I have battery power left over. It does not like damp/wet soil and clogs easily. Still runs but not as effectively. Highly recommended.

Liked that it was battery powered. Dislike that it was underpowered and didn't cut well.

This edger lasted all of 15 minutes before it just stopped working. Trying to deal with DeWalt's service system is an exercise in futility that I hope to never have to deal with again. I have had great results with everything else from DeWalt, but this edger is garbage. Read the other reviews and don't waste your money on this thing.

I did not purchase this from Amazon, but instead a local hardware store. I rely on amazon reviews however so I figured I would offer input. I purchased this edger and also the dewalt weedeater. I already have several 20v batteries from a variance of other dewalt tools I own. As far as performance, I am completely satisfied with the weedeater. It powers through what I need it for with no issues. The edger, at first was a bit difficult because it has a debris guard that kept catching on the grass as I was operating it. I modified it a bit(without damaging anything) and since then it works smooth as butter. My house is a corner lot with a fence, driveway, sidewalk, curb, porch and several trees, utilities and a public mailbox that yields cumulatively about 1000ft of developed length to trim and edge. I get it all done on ONE FULLY CHARGED battery. Only when I get to my blower, do I have to rely on a 2nd battery to complete my yard work instead of having to wait for the first to recharge. 20v batteries are about $90 a piece which is why this might be a questionable choice considering you will need to account for potentially another $300 for two batteries and a charger but if you already have those then these tools are a win win for the cost. Just keep two things in mind: You can not expect battery operated lawn equipment to out perform gas operated as far as power and "mileage" per fuel. If you are operating a landscaping business, these might work as long as you have about 20 + charged batteries to get you through lunch, but if you are just a homeowner trying to get his yard done, its a worthy purchase. Over all I'd recommend

I use a 9ah battery with this and it works great. I found the unit plenty powerful.

I’ve always seen DeWalt tools as the ones to get for construction trades and so on. This edger doesn't disappoint!
