Easy to use, but hold drill still to get a focused drill action.ApplicationI used the rasp with an electric drill on my door fixture where the lock mechanism worked but it would make it very difficult to lock the door when the lock mechanism was attempted to engage.With drill at low to medium speed I chipped some of the edges of the lock fixture and it took 3-4 attempts at chipping when the locking mechanism started to engage and work smoothly.All in all, amazing device. Highly recommended.

I used this right away to enlarge some holes I drilled to mount a vise. They were a tad too small, and this did the job. Took some effort. This rasp is not razor sharp and by the time I finished it showed the wear. After all, it is steel. And there is no way to sharpen it, so for me, it was a one shot, but worth the money. Maybe I'll use it on softer material.

I thought I would post these images as a reference for this product. Before I purchased it, I was wondering about the dimensions of this rasp, so perhaps some of you may find this helpful.Disregard the markings on the bit as these pictures were taken after I had used it. The tool itself is solid, and came in sealed retail packaging like you would find in the big box stores.

How rare to find something that just works. While not the exact intended use, I use this tool on electrical box holes in my plaster walls. I first drill and jigsaw out the hole with a plaster rated jigsaw blade to rough size, then use the DeWalt deburring tool to fine tune the opening size. It works perfectly, it shaves maybe 1/64" at a pass. You can get the hole sized such that the electrical box fits snugly right in. I still have the last one I bought some 15 years ago, wanted one to keep in the house.

I bought this to rip out wood from smaller areas for some things i was working on. It gouges deeply, but doesn't remove as much wood as I had hoped. Still pretty decent though, and I expect it'll last for years. Does require a lot of course sanding after you use this to remove the gouges. So expect to take the wood down a couple millimetres afterwards.
