DeWalt batteries fail in less than two years and they won't warranty them. Buy Ryobi, I have never had any of their batteries fail.

Have ordered a few different Amazon Dewalt bundles, the prices are always as good or better than we can get locally and it shows up in 2 days to our house. Great product as well. We use them for work so they don't last forever, but the batteries are great and for 2-3 years they do hold up.

I had an older 18V Dewalt drill and driver set. Both were “one-speedâ€. These newer tools have 3 speeds, enabling adjustment based on need. The drill is way more powerful than my old 18V - takes some getting used to.

I have a FlexVolt battery but if I didn't I would be a little hesitant to buy this combo because of my OCD even though the Dcd999 is plenty powerful with regular XR batteries. I do like the 5ah batteries in general because they work well and have a good form factor.This came with the best single charger that dewalt makes too, the 8ah fast fan cooled charger.
