First let me say, I am a contractor; that is how I make my living. I work with cordless tools on a daily basis. Not just DeWalt Cordless tools either, we have Ryobi and Metabo tools on the trailer as well. So when I say this little saw lived up to my expectations, that statement is not made lightly.Is it super-powerful? NO! It is a trim saw, it is NOT designed to rip pressure treated 2x material. It didn't have a bit of trouble ripping 1/2" pressure treated plywood however, and all I have are 2.0 amp hour batteries for it at present. With a 5 amp battery, there is little doubt in my mind it will rip 2x material as well. But, it is not going to power through it like a 7 1/4" saw. Don't expect it to, you will only be disappointed.It's light, it's small, it's convenient to use, and it does a helluva job for what it is folks. It also seems to be pretty easy on the battery. The only downside I found in using this saw, was the little paddle style safety switch about the trigger. I'm sure some folks like it there, I'm simply not a fan of the location.

I love this tool. It’s small and lightweight, but can easily handle plywood. I got it off Amazon as used with a huge discount, but it looked absolutely brand new. Could not be happier.

I use this more often than my corded saw. Can rip several piece of treated lumber with no issue. Lightweight and handy. Much better than digging out my larger saw for quick jobs. Liked it so much, purchased one for my daughter. I would get two batteries for this as depending on your work, you may need to swap.

I picked this up on a whim because there was a used one for very very cheap and I gotta say I'm impressed, it weighs nothing and with a 5ah battery it rips through 2x6 and plywood. It really shines when used above the head and for rafter work. Its only real downside is that because of the small blade you can't quite cut cleanly through 2x material at 45° but this would be fantastic for anyone who does trim, cabinets, or a lot of plywood work. As a small engine check 90% of what this gets used for in my shop is breaking down pallets but it definitely can handle more

20V ones hard to beat for power and how long it lasts. But for ease of use and easier to carry, this thing rocks! Hit the buy it now button, thank me later.

I like this saw. bought it for it's weight and ease of use. It fell off of the saw horses the other day with the shoe adjusted out for 1/2" plywood. I was surprised to find the shoe angle supports bent badly. Its VERY disappointing having a Dewalt tool built that poorly. Clearly the metal used has far less strength than it should have. I will bend it back as close to factory that I can but know that you must PROTECT this baby saw

This saw is perfect for cutting siding. It’s super light weight and the size makes it very convenient to carry. I got a vinyl siding blade for it and it cuts great. Definitely worth the price.
