Just love these. I wanted to augment the daylight for my house plants (and me) during the dreary Portland winter, but I want my house to look nice and didn't like the ridiculous timer contraptions with white boxes and large, clunky green dials. These are almost invisible plugged into an outlet in my house's naturla-wood baseboard. Their design is very user friendly--I didn't even have to use the booklet to figure it out, but the booklet explained things well if someone needed it. There are three optional cycles you could use per day, but I only needed one--just setting some up-lights on an armoire to come on at sunrise and go off at sunset. It was also very nice that their backup battery was already charged when they arrived, so I was able to set them before plugging them in and didn't have to leave them in an outlet overnight first. Not that that would have been a big deal. The only thing to note about these is that they're horizontally broad, and your light or appliance has to plug in at one end. So if your outlet is directly against a cabinet or other obstruction, you'll need a little hardware store adapter to plug this in at a favorable angle. I have three of these, helping to augment the sunlight in three different rooms. They work like a charm. Very glad I found them.

I needed switches that allow at least 2 daily On/Off programs, to switch on my Christmas lights early in the morning until the sun comes up, and then late afternoon when the sun goes down until 10pm. These are perfect for that. (They are NOT the type that allow you to set different times for different days of the week, such as weekdays and weekends.)I also needed switches that have grounded plugs, because my lights are connected to long, grounded extension cords. (I don't understand why many other brands limit their product by not making their plugs grounded.)TIP: You have to set the side switch to "Auto" first, in order to be able to program the On/Off cycles.Quality product, easy to use, inexpensive. Highly recommended.

Very intuitive to program. Works reliably. Even after a power outage, the time came back on correctly and the program stayed as set. After futzing around with other timers, this has been perfect!

I like how simple it was to program the unit for turning items off at a specific time and On at another time. One unit had a low battery inside so I could not see the display to program it but after leaving it in all evening, I was able to program it the next day. Size is perfect. You may need to add extension if you have other larger items plugged in though. Readout is simple. Switch on side allows me to use it as Off, Always On, or Automatic (programmed timers). Highly recommend. Best value for the price.

Simple to program, and only tie up one outlet, unlike most timers. Perfect for Christmas decorations. Set it and forget it. The timers have backup batteries so they aren’t affected by power outages. I’m buying more!!!!

I have had the old-fashioned Christmas tree timers in the past, but this beats them hands down. It is so easy to program and turn the lights on and off like clockwork! ;) The older versions, where you had to press the buttons for the time required, never worked right. Either they would not turn on at the set time, or they would turn on and then never turn off. I set up with this one and never had to worry about it again.

Replaced an older, super annoying indoor timer for the xmas tree that constantly made a ticking sound and had those stupid things you have to flip down. This is 100% better than that. Silent, easy to program. We'll see how long the battery (that you can't change) lasts. But great so far.

I like how small, discreet and quiet these timers are. No clicks off and on, easy to program.We bought a package for our Christmas lights, but I have decided to leave them in the outlets year round..just turn the switch to 'on'.Will be ordering a second package in the near future.
