This adapter makes easy work of attaching accessories to the oil system of an automobile. It gives you connection points on the input side of the oil filter. If there is significant restriction in the oil filter you might have some difference in pressure between the input and output sides of the filter. This would not matter for oil temperature gauges. If you use the adapter to route oil to an accessory you are using oil directly from the oil pump before it goes through the filter. It seems to be a well made unit and was perfect for my purposes.

Quality is good, but doesnt fit without modification to oil filter mount. Product still deserves 5star IMO

Installed this 3 times...last time it was modified to accept a thicker gasket off a stock oil filter. Even with a thicker factory gasket it still dripped oil after engine started to warm up.Will not work on a 2002 ford ranger 3.0L V6.....save your money and time... I even added silicon gasket sealer on 2nd attempt. Only place it doesn't leak for me is in the trash bin.

Nice little sandwich for tapping into pressure and temps. I tapped out one of the 1/8" NPT holes to 1/4" NPT for a pressure relief valve and it works fine. You should be prepared to go to the inside and de-burr the edges of the ribs and the tapped holes since they just anodize right over them. I like the dual O-ring sealing and overall the product was well worth the price.

Worked on my 1997 Honda civic d16y8 hooked up a oil pressure gauge and turbo feed line no problems all all just make sure you add plumbers tape and should seal and hold up

Used this to add a oil pressure gauge. Used Teflon on the supplied plugs but it still leaks. Not much but there is still a leak from the 2 plugs. Might have to change out those plugs and use different plugs to cease the leaks. Might just buy a T adapter and feel the pressure gauge from the block where the original pressure gauge hooks up.

A lot better than I was expecting in all honesty. Just had to clean it up a bit and it was perfect

Got stuck and leaked, tried to remove and pulled the oil filter stud out of the block, seal with RTV and don't over tighten it if you buy this.
