Like most Dexter-Russell items these are designed to be very functional. Not artsy. Not flimsy cheap big box store type items. This scraper is almost as sharp as a knife and is very solid and well designed and built. Note, that this particular scraper is carbon steel, so it will discolor and rust if not properly cared for. If you don't like that, then look for a stainless steel version.

Have owned a Dexter Russell griddle scraper for many years and love it. Now I need one for my RV. I have a griddle Q that fits over my gas bar-b-Q grill. I ordered this scraper to find it has an angled blade, which means it is most comfortable holding it one way. I prefer a straight blade which can be used both ways so that the blade wears evenly and is ready to use when you pick it up. This angled blade design is not in the product description. For the $36 price tag this design should be noted (or changed). After I turn this scraper the right way it works fine, has a nice stiff blade. I guess I'll have to use it backwards a few times so it wears evenly which doesn't make sense.

I can't believe the poor quality of this Dexter-Russell scraper. I purchased it to use on my griddle and paid this premium price ($52.00 USD!!!) because I like high quality tools. I couldn't be any more disapointed in this purchase. The fit and finish is completely unacceptable. This looks like a factory second. Take my advice - avoid this poor quality tool.

The blade is not square. You can not scrape any with it because the shape is concave. When you hold the blade perpendicular to a flat surface, there is daylight in the middle. Is this really made in America?

I will be returning this. After one use it spotted up really bad. The other dexter tool I bought on left was from a store in town and is clean looking after much use. If you don't care how it looks and don't mind dropped 40$ on subpar gear, go with this

This is a sturdy tool. It works well. The angle of the blade keeps my hand away from the walls of the grill while cleaning the edges and corners. It’s small enough to keep close and with a wide enough blade to get work done. . It is my best friend at the end of the night when it’s time to clean the grill. ( I work with a 2â€x 6†flat grill{griddle})
