Linear Bearings
The DF4900L's Olympic bar glides on four precision linear roller bearings that ride polished solid steel bars. The DF4900L moves effortlessly to recreate the free weight feel but with safety and stability. We encourage you to find another linear bearing machine in this price range, you won't.
Weight plate holders
The DF4900L is set at a 90 degree angle which allows you to use it facing forward or backward. It has a 700 lb capacity for all your toughest workouts. It also features 4 weight plate holders to keep them close at hand when you need them. This also helps to make the machine more stable.

Pros: This is a great product for the price. Very smooth operation, stable and well built. This machine has allowed me to add 10-20 lbs on various exercises. I lift by myself (no Spotter) and was wary about going for max weights. No more! The safety factor of the Smith Machine will allow everyone to tackle their max weights/reps!My machine arrived in 5 packages (ordered the lat attachment also) and two were very damaged with a lot of hardware missing. I emailed the seller and they shipped the missing hardware and it arrived with-in three days. Very responsive/helpful seller.Cons: The Lat attachment could be improved immensely by moving the pulley 6 inches to the rear (towards the Lat Weight carriage). It's present location is too close to the Smith Support Legs and the Lat Bar is so wide it hits the legs. I bought a narrower lat bar which works better, keeping my hands clear ot the support legs.Also the packaging could be improved upon by adding Styrofoam for fillers, using thicker cardboard for the boxes and banding them tightly every 12". My machine did arrive with a lot of paint chaffed off and there are a lot of chipped areas.That said; I'm happy with the purchase, the customer service and the quality/price of the Equipment!

Overall great quality for the price! Feels sturdy and will last a long time. Had some missing bolts but a quick trip to local hardware store was worth it. I was skeptical at first but well worth it.

Very heavy duty and sturdy, takes about 4 hours for one person to put together, you will need another person on the last step, putting on the final top bracket on. The bar weighs 70 lbs and it moves very smooth, no binding. I bought this because the gym i go to has one and people have been abusing it for 15 years and still rock solid. A little pricey but well worth it.

Love this machine! I am 5'2 and I don't think the lat bar would be good for someone that is tall, it's fine for me but would be an issue if I was taller. It took my boyfriend less than 3 hrs to put together and he used a crescent wrench. Giving 4 stars due to the lat bar.

I have the smith machine with the lat pull attachment. Both the smith machine and the lat cable attachments work surprisingly well. As expected, the mechanics or moving parts of the smith machine are smooth but was also pleasantly surprised that the lat attachment works smoothly too since the sliding parts ride on a box tube.The downside was parts missing from the shipper damaging the packaging but the supplier quickly delivered all the parts needed to complete the install.
