Installed right before Thanksgiving, worked like a charm and then failed on December 20th right before Christmas. I went against my better judgement after reading reviews of others with similar experiences. Shame on me for not listening. Don’t buy unless you feel like replacing again very soon.

I bought two of these igniters, one for the top and one for the bottom of my oven. The top igniter stopped working so I had to replace it. I went ahead and replaced the bottom one as well. It is easy enough to disassemble the top and the bottom igniter. For the top one you have to go in from the back of the stove to get to it, just make sure you close off the gas and don't step on the line as you are back there. I couldn't move my oven out far enough because the gas line was so short, so I had to use a small step stool to climb over the counter and down into the opening that pulling out the stove caused.The wiring itself is a breeze as the plugs fit perfectly and I just had to unplug the old one and snap the new one in its place. The only thing you really need to remember is how everything came apart so that you don't have any screws left over. If you take pictures of how it looked before you took it apart, it'll make it easier when you put it back together again.

We correctly diagnosed the problem with our oven.We correctly installed the partThe oven did not functionWe had to call an appliance repair person. (Who confirmed that we had correctly diagnosed the problem, and that we had correctly installed the part)The problem was that the part was broken. He showed us exactly how it was broken, and asked us if there was any broken material in the package.There was not. Indicating that the part was defective when shipped.So we correctly fixed our oven with a $25 part but because it was defective when shipped, had to pay an appliance repair guy $400 to install the same part.The fact that this company shipped us a broken part cost us an additional $375.00and because it took so long to get someone to look at it. I can't even return the part for a refund.
