I bought a big bucket of cooking oil at Costco and need to put the oil in a gallon container. Costco big bucket is difficult to pour the oil out of it and it's heavy, so I was looking for some pump to get the job done. After searching I ended up buying this manual pump and boy I am so glad I did it. Not only it's cost effective, but it is so effective and easy to use. I don't need to raise the big bucket up, just put it at the same level as the small gallon container. After a few squeezes of the ball the oil came up and down to the gallon container. There is a cap that can be adjusted for open and close. I got my job done so well and I absolutely love this product.
Yes, I bought this

I wouldn't want to depend on this for daily use but I'm happy to have it around for what I use it for. It is cheap but it works.

Haven't used yet and seems like it might be hard to stop the flow fast enough to prevent spillage

Bought this to drain lawn mower gas tank to perform oil change. Yes, I'm sure once again it's the mower's (Husqvarna) legal department who advised engineers NOT to drill a deck hole below the B&S engine crank oil drain bolt to allow simple gravity drain. Instead you have to drain through the dip stick port leaving the worst of the worst still in the crankcase, the rear wheel axles weakened, and your back hurting from picking up a 100 lb. mower, rotating it 90-180 degrees and holding it in that position for a few minutes while the oil drains. (Thank you lawyers. What would we ever do without you? And thank you for the added sciatica I have to deal with just from changing the oil in my lawn mower.)So, I regret this purchase because it is not intended for such a low volume drain. But this was MY MISTAKE. So although I haven't even opened the package, I'm giving it 5 stars, although in the past I have found plastic pump bulbs, like the on one this unit, to fail after limited use pumping petroleum products. (I don't think it even matters what the liquid. Just the cheap "seam" where the 2 halves of the bulb unite fails from being repeatedly deformed (squeezed)).I later found the exact product for my needs. The bulb is rubber and the hosing size and material are much better suited for siphoning gas from a small mower tank. Wish I'd found that before making this purchase, but, I impulsively purchased this as an "add-on" item before seeing what was available on eBay. My mistake but I'm sure I'll find a use for this item.

Got one for one project and later bought a few more because they are so cheap and useful. Makes clearing water off of our makeshift tarp roof on our chicken run super easy. Don't leave it outside though because they deteriorate in the sun pretty fast

2nd time buying this item. It works for a cpl weeks then becomes harder and harder to get it to work. Its not sealed tight where the straight tube attaches. I just use the straight tube in a hose now n siphon with my mouth. At this point that works better. At least i can see when the water is coming up to avoid swallowing it since the tube is clear. They may as well just sell that part.

Cheap and work good. Might have to cut the end because of the angle they cut into it if you want to siphon to the bottom. In the end, cheap and easy.
