I'm a big dice game player so much so that I built my own custom dice cup. However, after nearly losing it when traveling I realized I needed something I would not be heart broken over if I broke or lost it. This fits the bill. It is comfortable and looks really sleek. The lid fits snug and the felt lining is good and thick to muffle the rolls. The stitch job isn't half bad either. Now as for the cut outs on the lid they are either there from the manufacturing process OR they are thumb reliefs so you can roll with one hands which I find very nice especially when I am eating a snack or drinking a beer.

This is a very good quality dice cup from leather on the outside to felt on the inside. The lid has a rim on the top where you can set dice already in play for Farkle or Yahtzee. It was so nice to play a game of Farkle with the family without the loud noise from the shaking the dice. I marked this for 9 and up but it is good for any age that plays Farkle, Yahtzee, and other dice games.

This dice cup is really, really nice. Even though the outside is pu leather, it feels like real leather, except without the leather smell. The stitching on it is top-notch, and it looks and feels a lot more expensive than it is. The red felt lining on the interior and beneath the cap is good quality, and the top fits snugly over the cup, so that there’s little or no chance of it opening accidentally. This would make a great gift for someone who likes to play Farkle (like my grandson and I do). Adding dice to the cup is a nice touch! And it takes up so little space that it I can pack it in my things to take anywhere—and I will. My only question is: why does it have those 3 notches at the top? For decoration? Oh, well… I definitely recommend this!

I did not need another dice rolling item - whether a tray or whatever. Which sounds like blasphemy to some people, lol. I love dice, don't get me wrong. But I don't have dice cups, so this was the first I ordered. I haven't used one since I played Backgammon years ago! But, this is a nice cup. Love the padding and the cap, making the noise of dice being shuffled around muted but still satisfying. Love also that there are sone 6-sided dice included as well - that's a nice touch. Not needed, but a nice touch regardless. Love this item and will use it often.

You need a dice tray and one of these.I host two game sessions per month at my home and this will make things quieter. And help keep dice on the table.I've had dice cups in the past that were small, thin, and cheap. This one is a good size, more for adult hands. It's sturdy, felt-lined and the top is nice and snug. I was pleasantly surprised when I unpacked it.Comes with six D6s, which is a bonus.Bottom lien: Pick one up if you play RPGS, tabletop wargames, or board games. Highly recommend.
