This tape is VERY sticky! The thin protective plastic that is stuck to the adhesive must be removed. CAUTION... Do not let the side of the protective plastic that is not originally against the adhesive touch the adhesive! That side sticks to the adhesive and cannot be removed without tearing off adhesive.CAUTION... Do not apply under direct sunlight on a hot day! The adhesive becomes extra sticky and will stick VERY well to your fingers, your ladder, your face, etc..CAUTION... Do not let the exposed adhesive side contact itself. You will have to trash that piece of tape. This is great stuff if applied correctly. I have rubber sheet roofing on my 1996 Jayco and I used this tape to seal the edge of the roofing rubber where it wraps around the edge of the roof. It was starting to show cracks where it stretched over the edge. That tape has been on the roof for over 12,000 miles in all kinds of weather and is only coming loose in a few places where I wrapped it around the drip channel. The protective plastic on my oldest roll of this tape kept tearing and would not peel off in one piece. The tape was still good. Of course, all of the pieces of protective plastic must be removed to get uniform adhesion. There are cheaper RV roof repair tapes available, DICOR is my choice because I know it works well.

worked well but you must be ready to use before it sticks to its self.

When they say this stuff doesn't come off, they mean it. Once you stick something to it, it is not going anywhere. I used it all over my roof, my only regret is not getting the 6 inch wide stuff, to have more coverage.

I waited till february to do some roof repairs on my EPDM roof when it is cooler here in Florida. This material is very soft and sticky. The clear membrane over the rubber would not come off. I was literally pulling the rubber layer apart as I attempted to remove the clear membrane. My solution was to freeze the material. Once frozen or at least very cold, the clear membrane came off easily and cleanly. However I did not want to come down to the freezer for each piece. So I placed the roll in the freezer and after about 10 minutes, I placed it in a cooler with ice. I took the cooler onto the roof with me and this enabled me to pull the material I needed while leaving the remaining material in the cooler. The one thing for sure is this is never coming off!

The adhesion to my travel trailer roof is quite good! Thick adhesive actually seeps from the cut edges when smoothed out from the center of the tape. Easy to cut, easy to lay over holes, and easy to smooth any air bubbles out from center. I highly recommend for sealing membrane penetrations.

If you have a leak on an RV roof, it's best to get a product such as this to ensure proper repairs

Fixed a hole in my roof where I guess a tree twig got it. You need to put it into the freezer for a couple minutes in order to peel it off the backing. Make sure you are ready to stick it because it’s not coming back off without damaging the roof.

Had the screws on one of my tip outs wear through and start leaking. Used the tape in conjunction with the Dicor self leveling lap sealant and problem was solved.

This stuff is great, used to repair some torn TPO roof membrane on the edge of the roof. I put it on in the longest continuous strip I could manage (about 5’ long). It took a lot of careful maneuvering but it went down with minimal wrinkles. Used a rubber roller to roll flat and dicor self levelling sealant to go around the edges. I put it on in early spring and after checking it in the summer it has a few more wrinkles and bumps, probably just from expansion due to the temperature change, I’m not really worried about it. No leaks!
