HOW DOES THE EPICENTER WORK?
You may ask yourself, “Why would I need to restore bass?” The truth is that during the recording process, low frequency information can be “mixed” down or filtered out. It’s not that recording engineers are out to get you; in fact, they are looking out for your best interests and are concerned that many speaker systems cannot handle “truly” low bass information. This little beast does some amazing things. I've wanted one since I started car audio in the early 2000s. Works great for classic rock and metal, classics, and even some EDM. Can even be used on rap despite what people say. If used with a clipping light on your amplifierbass knob you won't damage your subs. You can also hear when it starts getting distorted and muddy. You can definitely hard clip your subs if you aren't paying attention so be careful! This isn't a set it and forget it type of device, it requires a small amount of tuning on a per song basis. The remote knob only controls the epicenter effects and not overall volume. Your normal bass knob can be used in conjunction with the effect knob. I typically have the epicenter set at zero or very low while changing songs and gradually add the epicenter to my liking. I'm running mine on a sundown 12 classic at around 1000wrms ported at 32hz. A higher cone area sub would perform better on the low frequencies that the epicenter creates though, still makes a ton of difference! Easy to install! I have it piggy backed off my amps power, ground, and remote wires. Doesn't use a ton of power so no issues with power consumption like running multiple amps. Easy addition to any system.

If you like older metal or even hair bands but hate that they don’t have that bass kick then this will solve that problem. Its not a bass booster, it actually adds the missing bass. I got a decent system and it hit hard listening to rap but that’s not my everyday genre, this made all the difference. There are cheaper ones out there but looking on youtube couldn’t really find any reviews so I decided to go with this one. 100% happy with it
