G4S GPS Speed Meter Troubleshooting
1. No display on the screen, no power
Check whether USB line is damaged, replace USB line test, and prohibit using voltage higher than 5V
2.No speed
The satellite icon flashes indicating the star search state. Please move the car to the open road and wait until the satellite icon stops flashing
3.The speed is not allowed
Check unit correct, km KM / mile MPH, (speed unit switch reference settings)
When the car leaves the factory, the manufacturer increases the speed displayed on the dashboard by 5-7%, and the international standard is subject to satellite data
Fine-tune the vehicle speed, if the meter displays 100 Km/h, the machine displays 105 Km/h, and adjust the parameter value to 102
4. Driving direction is wrong
The satellite can't tell your direction when there have no speed, and the speed exceeds 5KM / H
5. The speed is still displayed after the car is stopped
Underground parking lot, tunnel, overpass, with shielding will make the signal unstable satellite drift, please drive the car to the open road
6.Turn off the buzzer
The wheel dials left for 2 seconds to turn off the buzzer and dial left again to open the buzzer

Used to replace a broken speedo on a vintage car. Pay big bucks to fix the speedo or do this. It was an easy choice.

Being able to adjust the speedometer makes a big difference. It now tracks with my cruise control setting nearly perfectly. The update rate is quite good as well, not super fast but quite good.The small sticky pad that come with the unit does not work so well; the unit kept falling over. I bought a non-skid pad and set it on that. I am also using a white washcloth to cover it when parked in sunlight to keep it cool until I need it again.

The mounting tab snapped off on day two! It takes anywhere between one and eleven minutes to acquire a GPS signal which is very frustrating, this is with an unobstructed view of the sky. When it connects it does show an accurate speed. The unit is slow to respond to speed changes. I want to like this for the size but just can't recommend getting this speedometer. I will be shopping for a unit of better quality.

I like that it is small and mounted right to my dash. It is very bright so very easy and clear to see for night driving. I can not rate the mileage aspect because I have not used that feature. I bought because my speedometer is hard to see and not very clear to read every little dash line mark. This was definitely worth the money and I love that I can use it day or night and know my exact speed.

It’s very compact and the light is very bright, although it has quite limited movement, suction pad does not stick to metal but can be overcome by the sticky pad or some hot glue. I would recommend this for go carts because the speedometer on a car is more accurate.

My speedometer quit working, used this until I could get the dashboard repaired. Worked fine.Cloudy days? Seemed to slow down the aquisition some.

It very well designed and was just what I needed, a GPS compass & digital speedometer.The numbers are large and bright enough to read easily during the daylight. Also, very low current drain, so you can leave it plugged in 24/7. I really like it. Instructions need improving.But, it needs a 12 volt cigarette lighter to 5 volt USB adapter unless you have USB ports in your car or truck.

Our newly aquired motorhome is American made so the speedometer is in MPH. We live in Canada so when travelling here, I have to constantly convert the speed in my head. Being feed up with it, I decided to find a small digital speedo that would do the converting for me. I love the small foot print and where I was able to locate it. It's easy to program so I increased the brightness. The suction cup has remained in place. The speed matches close enough to the factory speedometer. Apparently you can fine tune the speed anyway. Yes it takes a little while to connect to the satellite but we plug it in while we are packing to leave and by the time we hit the road it's ready too! Hope this little guy lasts then it will be well worth it.
