On the front are 18 reference color targets digitally screen printed with protective matte coating. Reference 18% and 12% gray for white balance and exposure for film and digital photography, as well as the setup, profiling, and adjustment of color scanners, cameras, digital video, digital printers, and digital display systems. On the back is our Digital Kolor Align chart, a video chip chart NSTC color chart. This card can be used to set up, test, and align your DSLR or digital videocam. Designed for digital video, the Digital Kolor Align chip chart / digital video test chart has NTSC color bars and 16:9 (HD), 3:2, 4:3 (SD) and 1:1 framing apertures. Features the 6 vector color test pattern to evaluate and adjust the color matrix with waveform or vectorscope displays. Used to check peak color levels, color saturation, and color alignment. This chart can assist with calibration of broadcast or recording equipment, especially in a multi-camera installation where all camera signals must match. Crossed 11-step greyscale patterns assist in gamma, "toe" and "knee" adjustments for optimum highlight and shadow detail. Designed in Boston, Massachusetts and made in USA. If you just need basic color control patches and a simple grey scale, this is hard to beat for the price.

This is somewhere between oaktag and cardboard, so you'll need a safe folder or box to keep them from the elements. But they are good for quick white balancing in the field.

It was bigger than i thought it would be. It still serves its purpose well it can just be hard to travel with because its not small and compact to stuff in a camera bag like i was hoping. its also paper/cardboard material so i dont feel like its going to last very long. i wish it was smaller and plastic so it could handle longevity.

Setting white balance is not sufficient if you plan to do any PhotoShop work. Matching true colors in the same lighting conditions is essential. This is a set of two cards for color, white and gray balance.

The chart is printed on rather thin stock, and is not at all packed well for shipping, so both charts arrived creased. If you are trying to light this evenly, which is a must, it will be difficult because of the bent card.I've had other color charts that were printed on heavy stock. When you pack this cheap version into your various cases or bags, it is very likely to get creased.I'm returning them
