QLUUE Wood Moisture Meter - Take you to find the source of moisture
Why do you need a moisture meter?
For home users: Moisture meters can help you detect high levels of moisture, and treat them in time.
For Woodworkers/Finishers/Inspectors/Lumber Suppliers: Moisture meters can help them easily detect moisture in wood when buying or working with lumber and hardwoods.
Please note when using:
1. For accurate results, please select different type numbers for different woods according to the table of timber types.
2. Please calibrate before use.
3. When the instrument is moved from one environment to another, please wait for a while for the instrument to stabilize.
Calibration - A step that cannot be ignored
1. Insert the test board, if the data is between 19%-21%, no calibration is required;
2. If it exceeds this range, calibration is required.
Calibration steps:
1) Before starting up, press the SEL button + switch at the same time to enter the calibration 20% mode;
2) In this calibration 20% mode, insert the test board and press the SEL key to confirm.
3) Confirmation: Insert the test board again and display 20%, then the calibration is complete.
Wood Measurement
- Measuring range: 6%-100%
- Type 1-8, choose type according to wood type
- Measure more than 150 kinds of wood, can be used to measure logs, furniture, floors, ceilings, etc.
Building Measurement
- Select type 9
- Measuring range: 0.7%-35%
- Can be used to measure cement walls, concrete, plaster walls
Ambient temperature display
- Moisture meter displays ambient temperature
- Can be switched between ℉and ℃
Automatic Shut-down
- Default 10mins without work, automatic shutdown
Cancel Automatic Shutdown
- In shutdown state, press the power button + HOLD button at the same time to cancel the automatic shutdown
- The screen displays COU, the setting is successful
Replace the Battery
- 3*1.5V AAA batteries
- Open the battery cover with a screwdriver to replace the battery
- Screwdriver not included
Instructions:
1. Press the power button to turn on
2.3. Test and calibration (see above for specific steps)
4. Query the table of timeber types
5. Set the type value according to the wood type
6. Insert the measurement object and read the data

I have had ample opportunity to give this a workout during our farmhouse renovation. It takes 3 AAA batteries which are included. The screen is easy to read. The functions are intuitive. The included instructions are easy to read and understand. I have used several similar items and this is the easiest to use and most accurate.

This moisture meter is a great one to have for around the house if your house is prone to flooding or leaks.The built in test board is perfect for making sure the device is working properly. The LED light on the back is great for if you need to check dark corners of your basement or crawl space. And the backlit led screen makes it easy to seen in the dark. The zipper case is nice to keep it protected when not in use.The meter comes with a clear instruction manual that lists out what setting it needs to be on for different wood species that you would like to test including a dedicated setting for building materials. I do find that it is a little less reliable when it comes to hardwoods because the pin style meters are not idea for them. So if you are a dedicated woodworker maybe spend a little more and get on built for those.

I have bought it but had to return it since I didn't know the tree type and I find the other version with soft wood - hard wood selection more practical. if you are a professional or someone who knows the tree type out of 8 or 10 available selections, you may use this product successfully too.

This review is for QLUUE Digital Moisture Meter. I have run into issues where a pipe has leaked or water has gotten into a basement. It's hard to tell when something is dry, like a wall or carpet, so I figured having a tool like this would be handy. I just came across a situation where flooding rains caused a window to leak water to the carpet. I used wet vacs and towels to suck up as much water as possible and then set a fan down to run. This seems to work on indicating the carpet is wet, but it's in a basement so it's tough for me to know what is truly wet given the high humidity. This seems like a decent tool. I will update this review further if additional usage yields more information on this tool.

Kind of weird with some things. When it comes to raw lumber it works very well very consistent - no problem. The test card works exactly as its supposed to, didnt have to do any calibration.But when testing hardwood flooring, it was very strange, not consistent. Some slats it could read, others it couldnt, just dont know if i could trust the numbers for that specific usecase.It also does have like 10 modes, but i didnt explore what they all did. I just kept it on mode 1.

pin type meters, are great for soft woods and drywall, ply, etc.great for general readings after floods, etc.does a good job for this task...but for hardwoods, all these pin meters are not every effective, you will need a pinless meter which will cost about 10x the price.... so buy the meter for your needs, if you do not get good readings on hardwood, do not blame these low cost pin meters..nice case, nice instructions, very versatile, amazing value...

I've used a moisture meter professionally in water damage restoration so that's my lens here. This device seems to operate well, and I like the inclusion of a test bar in the cap. The big issue is that the user needs to know the moisture reading for their particular kind of wood, and the instructions only includes 9 options. And none of the options are what I would need it for: pine. Since houses aren't made from the 9 types of wood that the instructions include here I'm left to work out what kind of wood is closest to the type of wood used in my home. I'm not a tree surgeon so I will have to figure this out or get a different device.All other aspects of this device are good with the exception of not including sturdier probes, but that's minor.At this point I guess I can use it on firewood that is sitting out to dry to determine if it's ready to burn.

Ho acquistato questo misuratore di umidità per controllare eventuali infiltrazioni nelle pareti dei camper. Sono alla ricerca di un camper usato ed è indispensabile capire prima dell'acquisto se ci sono infiltrazioni d'acqua nelle pareti. Prima di provarlo sul campo ho provato con dei pezzi di legno a cui ho spruzzato dell'acqua per inumidirli e devo dire che anche dopo qualche ora rileva perfettamente la presenza di umidità . Ero un pò diffidente ad acquistarlo perchè di marca non conosciuta, ma credo faccia perfettamente il suo lavoro.

Wie genau dieses Gerät ist kann ich nicht beurteilen da ich keine Referenzen dazu habe.Was ich aber sagen kann ist, die Stellen an denen Feuchtigkeit vermutet wurde, konnte das Gerät erkennen. Wenn auf dem Gerät ein Wert von 21 % im Mauerwerk angegeben ist wird das vermutlich nicht korrekt auf den Punkt stimmen. Jedoch kann man sicher sagen das Feuchtigkeit vorhanden ist.Man spürt es ja auch in gewisser Weise wenn man mit der flachen Hand zb. über eine Wand streicht. Eine feuchte Stelle an der Wand fühlt sich kälter an als eine trockene.Die Spitzen vorne haben nicht lange gehalten und waren schnell verbogen. Getestet im Holz, Putz und Mauerwerk.Kann man kaufen wenn man es vermutlich nicht all zu genau nimmt.
