Hard to find a fan temp switch you can trust, so far this has been great. You can see that there’s supposed to be a cover for it that is bot provided but should be

Only complaint is no instructions included but it doesn't take much to figure it out

Looks like it should be a good product.... but to ship a product with NO documentation? Not even a single piece of paper with a link to online docs? Nothing...Unacceptable.Additionally - the sensor that is supposed to be installed 'into' the fins of the radiator is BLUNT - ie. has a FLAT tip. It is impossible to insert into the radiator without taking a screwdriver or large pick to open up the fins... and then it's hit-or-miss on getting the opening large enough (or not too large). ALL other fan controllers I've dealt with (numerous) have a pointed sensor that is fairly easy to install - and results in a snug fit that hasn't had any issues.Between these two issues - I really do NOT recommend this for use.

Was fairly easy to install. Quality is similar to davies craig equilivent. Only problem I have is with performance. The fans turn on when the key is on but won't turn off regardless of temp. Not too big of an issue

Functionally this is working perfectly in my 87 Jeep XJ converted to electric fans. It was simple to set up, works with the AC controls and even on something so old without OBD2, it's functioning perfectly. My unit came without any real instructions, but the pictures here lay it out plainly enough if you have some idea of what you are doing. The potting looks like it's well done and should keep everything waterproof (aside from the relays of course). There really isn't any way to waterproof things like relays if you want them to be replaceable. I mounted mine high up near the fuse box under the hood so that if I ever do get in deep water, it's up and out of the way. I love that I can set the temperature and automatically add an additional fan when the AC kicks on. Works like a modern electric fan controller from the factory!
