Salinity Meter
The higher the salt content in the solution, the lower the purity. This salinity meter has a resolution of 1ppm to help you better analyze salt in aquariums, saltwater pools, mariculture, etc.
EC Meter
Conductivity of water is a very important indicator to measure water quality. It reflects the level of electrolytes present in the water. The purer the water, the lower the conductivity and salinity.
TDS Meter
The higher the TDS value, the more impurities contained in the water, and the higher the conductivity. Both TDS and EC are important indicators to measure water quality.

Salinity Meter Operation Steps
Convert temperature units
Turn on the salinity meter, press and hold the HOLD/TEMP button for 2-3 seconds, the temperature unit can be switched between °C and °F.
Convert measurement mode
Turn on the salinity meter and change the measurement mode through the MODE/CAL button.
When only ppm is displayed, it is the TDS mode; when the upper left corner displays SALT, it is in salinity mode, there are 3 units of ppm/ppt/% in this mode; when it displays us/cm is EC mode.
Measurement steps:
1. Press the power button to turn on the tester. Immerse the electrode in the solution to be tested, and ensure that the whole electrode is submerged;
2. Press the MODE/CAL button to convert the tester to SALT ppm mode;
3. Gently shake the tester to ensure that there are no air bubbles around the electrode, wait for the reading to stabilize and obtain the value of the tested solution;
4. Wash the electrode with distilled water after each use and dry it with a cloth.

This is a must have if you have a salt water pool. It’s so much more accurate and cost effective than the salt test strips.

I only gave three stars for accuracy because I haven't had a chance to compare the results yet, but it is easy to use, fast, and way more user friendly than traditional test strips. As far as the accuracy goes, it did read low salt at the same time that my chlorinator indicated it, so there's that.

Oh, I needed something more exact than a paper indicator for the amount of salt in my pool. This item confirmed that the pool chlorinator was showing the correct amount. Love the unit.

After years of hating those dip, wait and match expensive and wasteful color strips, I heard of this from a friend also with a salt pool. This device awesome and certainly worth having. Simply remove the cap, press the 'on' button, dip in the pool and instantly the PPM shows up in the digital read out. What could be more simple.

Easy to use but unfortunately the pool salt ppm which I bought it for is way off when compared to a salt ppm test at a local pool shop. My neighbor has this same unit and when we did a comparison, both ppm readings were close to each other but when compared to the professional test both units were roughly 800 ppm low. I may try to calibrate but instructions aren’t very clear.

I'm a pool cleaner. I ruined my last tester and this one has more features but it works the same. I didn't need to recalibrate. I understand that it doesn't have to be as precise as an animal tank but I'm satisfied

Our cholorine generator gets goofy sometimes and stops making chlorine. Now we can easily see if the salt level is the problem. Worth the small investment!
