Been wanting an inline force gauge for a while now; been using a hand-held suitcase scale for this purpose, and typically trying to measure the force downward to measure the force multiplication efficiency of a 4-2-1 or 5-2-1 rope hoist; typically the efficiency is not more than 66% or 75%; in other words, with a 5-2-1 rope hoist where theoretically you can lift 100# of load with 20# of force, in reality you can expect to pull with 35# of force losing nearly half of the mechanical advantage! I needed a proper inline scale i can use to test both up and down forces, and high enough capability to measure the full load and some high precision for measuring the pull side.I was very concerned after reading some of the reviews about buying this model; on the first day I got it I addressed every single problem brought up in older reviews and i'm pretty convinced the current model is a complete revision from an older version with the same name; note that even on AWS website they say the scale uses 2x 2032 batteries but the manual (and reality) matches that it uses 2xAAA batteries.the scale is crazy light; the metal load plate is aluminum (with a steel insert for strength). with lithium batteries (you'd be silly to use other), it weighs 180g. it's not 'tiny' but very reasonably sized; the x-y dimensions are similar to my iPhone 6s, but about half an inch taller. The scale is programmed from the factory to time out after 2 min. of no activity; change of weight counts so if you use continuously it won't shut off. The notion of it will turn off on you while loading is bunk, also, i haven't had a chance to try this but have used the trick on every other digital scale i've used; if the scale turns off on you while loading, turn it on let it tare to 0 and remove the load; it will show you the weight as a negative #.I found an older manual online that suggested only using at room temperature and allowing to come to temp for an hour before expecting accuracy, the current manual has no mention of temperature, and I did a pretty solid performance experiment; i put the scale in a freezer set to 0F for half an hour, took a measurement, then put on a radiator that was about 120F for half an hour, took another reading of the same item, then i left it for about an hour to have the scale come to room temperature and took a 3rd reading; they were all within 1% of the same weight. (with a range of temperature of the scale of about 70-80°F); that is acceptable by any stretch of the imagination. If you want to use outside in the cold, i would recommend keeping the scale in your jacket (like in your shirt chest pocket) to keep it warm and pull it out just to measure; you'll have very good luck. When the scale just came out of the freezer, it did act a little sluggish but never a problem to read the display or activate or use it.The scale stays on the last unit you choose; it doesn't matter if you turn it off or the auto-off setting shuts it down, and the scale has three modes; peak where it shows the maximum value, auto where (just like all luggage scales) it will freeze the value as soon as the load is stable for a second or two, and 3rd option; no freeze; it just continuously updates. The display is designed to be read from 'higher than' the normal of the display, so plan accordingly; once you are about 20° or more lower than the normal of the plane of the display you won't be able to read it; you could use it upside down I suspect if you need to mount it above your head. The included snap-link is WAAAY bigger than needed, i suppose they use the same for the 200kg model, The 3 / 8 snap links I use are rated higher working load than the 330# of this scale, and for anything less than 150#, I often use some chain with 3 / 16 wire diameter (working load of about 600-800#), that i've cut out the weld to make little 'C' hooks, and they work perfectly well for this scale.Home-Run on this one; if you need something to weigh or measure the force something pulls, this product is perfect. you can get 0.2# precision with this model or 0.5# precision with the 200kg model (this one is 150kg).This is small enough to go right into my hoist/lifting kit bag, i will never have to wonder again how much that bucket of tools weighs.

Un buen producto, espero ver que elaboren una con más exactitud al pesar. Ya que el error de incertidumbre es considerable.

Don't buy this expensive scale. I ordered it and got busy and didn't open the box until I needed it which was after the Amazon support period. It did not work right out of the box. The display read Unstable. I called the company and they said it needed factory work and I would have to return it to Amazon for replacement which I cannot do. I wasted a lot of money on this and learned a lesson to open and try a product immediately upon receipt.

Works fine.I have a bed-bound patient that I need to weigh occasionally. To do this, I put a patient sling under her, then raise the sling with the associated medical hoist. I previously inserted this scale between the hoist and the hoist spreader arm, then zero the scale just before starting to lift the patient/sling, then read the weight after the patient is just clear of the bed (I previously measured the weight of the sling itself to subtract from the measurement).A cost-effective substitute to those expensive medical hoists/slings that feature built-in weighing capability.I attached the scale to our hoist with some 3/8" threaded bolts/nuts and some flat brackets that come with a number of holes along their length (I cut the flat brackets to the needed length with a hack saw).To insure against any possibility the scale or brackets might break apart, the patient is only raised an inch or so above the bed or wheelchair when making the measurement.

Price was terrific and this item is very handy for weighing many things. My son is using it outside to weigh food for his animals.

I could not believe just how heavy the box was that this came in..Once i opened it I found a massive carabiner that made up all the weight, I have no intension of using it!!!I bought this for a BOW draw weight jig I am making, I used it a few times already and once on a bow that I know its exact weight and this scale was dead on!The actual scale is very light but I do not see any issues that might cause a fatal flaw in it.I seen a few other options out there that were less expensive but I am glad I went this route!

Bought it for working and tuning on my compound bow and couldn’t be more pleased. Only complaint would be the carabiners that came with it. They are big and poorly made, but the scale itself is perfect.

The scale is good but the batteries stop working after 2 days of use.
