I bought this to shut off the power from my solar mini split whenever i need to. I think it's pretty good quality for the price for sure. Works every time i've used it. It'sBasically plug & play so what could be easier?

This was exactly the product I was looking for to provide both fuse protection for my charge controller as well as the ability to shut off the solar panels. It was easy to install and competitively priced.

I like the quality of this product, seems well built. I have used inline solar fuses in the past before I found this. I dislike the inline fuses, in my experience when they blow they melt and damage other components and is a safety concern. I like the idea that if there is ever an overload this will just trip the fuse breaker instead of melting...that's what I bought it for and am hoping for. Use on my 400w solar between panels and charge controller.

Housing is well made. Because of the housing's size large gage wire will be difficult to install. I could get 10 gage in but anything bigger would be a challenge! Tool supplied to work with prewired leads did not fit the couplings.

I do not hear the National Electrical Code brought up at all in the PV Solar discussions or reviews. It is smart to have a hand disconnect hopefully with in sight, or at least well known where it is and readily accessible. In my case all I have for now is a 195w module supplying my battery box. In the event firefighters had to come, they are fast acting, no disconnect- chop! The look at PV as an additional risk they don't want to fool with. Or what about trouble shooting? The last thing I need is to be climbing around to disconnect leads ( possibly under load ) with a tool to release MC- 4's. It is as simple as it gets. I'll follow up if it acts up. I am pleased that that these pre-made devices are available now, as a retired electrician, some times it is fun to build your own disconnects, and some times it is just better buying a finished product. On the other hand I cannot say about its testing and listing, and as always will report a failure.
