This project came out beautifully. This printed crossstich stocking was truly a labor of love. This was my first attempt at needlework and I was very impressed with how easy the directions were to follow. The stocking is standard sized and brightly colored. It was less expensive than other printed crossstich kits of this size. If you are and expert or a beginner this kit will give you hours of relaxing stitching with a festive result.I did think the material for the back of the stocking was lower quality than I liked, so I went to the fabric store and picked out my own. It would have been perfectly functional, I was just looking for a more polished finish.

Made this for my 5 year old grandson. It took me about 5 months of working for 1-2 hours a day on it. This is my 4 th stocking. Quality is great, had plenty of string left, instructions very clear. Have already started work on another stocking from this company. Colors are bright and vibrant.

I made one of these stockings for my daughter when she was born and it's been a cherished tradition ever since. It was a different pattern but the same basic type of kit. It's very difficult to find these types of kits now. Most of them are the ones where you stick on glitter and appliques. I much prefer the actual sewing and it looks so great when you're finished. Plus, you can really cram a lot of things in it when Santa is being very generous. Wish there were more patterns out there but I'm about to run out of kids to make them for so I guess it's worked out over time.

It is really cute, the thread colors are identified and the base mesh is numbered and printed with the correct colors, but I think I will be working on it until the day I die! I hope I finish it before then!

This will be my fifth stocking. Full disclosure--I haven't started this one yet. But, the threads are separated and the directions don't tell me to separate each thread from the strand and add two more! I hated that step and this kit doesn't advise me to do this! Yah!Like other kits, it is difficult to see the pattern. I take a marker and make it more clear. Needlepoint is very forgiving and if you make a little mistake you are the only one who would know. I'm excited to get started!For those of you who are novices---it takes me a year to complete a stocking....I may work on it a few hours and then put it down for a couple of weeks. It all depends. Give yourself enough time to complete. It's the perfect craft while watching TV.

Although it's super cute, I would rather have a counted cross stitch pattern. This one has a color print on the cloth that is very hard to differentiate between slight color variations with a weird instruction/pattern sheet.

I’m part way through stitching this. I’m enjoying the bright colours and love the design.I’m not overly keen on having to decide where each colour is meant to start and stop. The printed on the canvas is not straight at the top of the design so I’ve had to improvise. Hopefully once it’s complete no one will notice or care.I do love the feel of the fabric created but having to use 6 strands of thread can make it tricky to get all stitches perfectly flat.

Not really what I was after as it contained no wool!! I can't see the point in it being done in cotton (silk), having to separate the 6 strands and then to thread All 6 STRANDS (apparently to make it look fuller). If it was made with wool (as tapestries throughout history have been) then there would be no need for this waste of time process.
