Blu Ray Disk drive was in excellent condition, it’s a plug and play install, recommend having experience with disassembling and re assembling electronics in order to do the drive replacement. Wouldn’t recommend for beginners as you might break things in the process.P.S - The replacement Blu Ray drive is only for PlayStation Pro CUH 7000 models.

Dead on arrival. The Bluray drive in my PS4 Pro is failing and refusing to read discs. It can however still load and eject them.I purchased this as a replacement, only to find it didn't work. After many tedious hours trying to debug the issue, I discovered that the replacement drive blew the F6202 fuse on the motherboard which powers the disc drive. I had to solder a wire to circumvent the fuse. With the work around in place, my original drive returned to it's half broken functionality but the replacement drive is still completely defective.To add insult to injury, the manufacturer decided to put glue on two of the screws holding the drive together, thus making it exceedingly difficult to take apart for diagnostic purposes (e.g. swapping connection cables). Heaven forbid you get a disc stuck in the drive and have to take it apart to get the disc out.I'm so frustrated by this experience I'm going to get a replacement from a different source/manufacturer.

So I will praise this product because it actually works as intended.I will make two key points on why I like this product and two points on why I dislike this product, okay let’s do this.Here’s what I like:It is the part that I have needed for my PS4 Pro, I spent the better part of 3 years looking for a part that I couldn’t find, I finally found it, it fit perfectly into my console and started working beautifully. So brownie points to the company for that.Another thing I liked about it, it came with the ribbon cables, so it was as easy as installing and reassembling my console to get it going, (don’t forget to replace the thermal paste if you do this).Okay now on to what I dislike:The actual product itself, when inserting a disc you kinda have to shove it in the drive to get it to pull the disc in, and it sounds really rough as it pulls the disc in (this could possibly be because mine could be faulty or damaged during transit, something the seller makes clear in their product description).Final point, the ribbon cables were not pre folded and were a bit short, so I had to use the ribbon cables from my PS4’s old broken drive and use those.Other than my two negatives I had with this product I am really happy with it and really happy that my PS4 Pro is finally back to reading discs again.Cheers!P.S.Please keep in mind that it is for the CUH-70XX PS4 Pro only, I’ve noticed that too many people buy the wrong product model and end up $50-$80 out of their pocket because they got the wrong product. Please research what PS4 model you have.

I saw a lot of negative reviews on the other products on the site so I was worried that it might not work. However, the disc drive works like a charm and it is in perfect condition. I can assure you that it works for PlayStation Pro CUH 7000 models.

Old disc drive wouldnt read discs. Did the disassembly (you need to be very confident in handling delicate electronics), put this in, put ps back together n problem solved. Note that the cables don’t come folded, so you have to gently do it yourself.

Had no problem fitting it in and never experianced any issues with it. Just double check your model number and make sure this is the one you need.

Installed new disk drive and it didn't work. Looked at reviews and saw one saying have to use original ribbon cables. Tore apart and replaced new ribbon cable with originals and it worked. Little loud but it works. Thanks
