Our older model oven quit working 5 days before Christmas. No local store had a replacement heat element in stock. I ordered 1 from Amazon and another from a big box store, worrying how I’d make Christmas dinner if the part wasn’t received in time. Amazon delivered quickly. The part was easy to install! Christmas cookies and Christmas dinner cooked perfectly. Very happy!

Easy swap. Was a perfect factory replacement. Took about 1.5 hours start to finish. Had to remove the panel and insulation from behind. Good time to sweep up behind the stove. Easy to change yourself if you're a little mechanically inclined.

The flat metal mounting bracket was improperly placed by the manufacturer. It should be perpendicular to the heating element. Instead it was placed just at the bend of the element. Because of this, after screwing the bracket to the back of the oven, the oven door side of the element does not sit on the oven floor on the stand-offs but instead hangs in the air an inch above the floor of the oven.While it does heat the oven, the lowest rack position cannot be used and I fear the tension on the heating element at the mounting bracket may result in an early failure of the element.I considered sending this back, but I need my oven to cook every day. I’ll post an update if this element dies prematurely.One of the photos shows both the old and new elements on top of each other. Note that the bracket on the replacement element does not sit at a 90° angle to the heating element like the original.Update: 3/26/2023 … As predicted, element lasted for one year before a spectacular failure: very loud pop and 10 seconds of even louder arcing until enough of the rod disintegrated creating a gap big enough to stop the arcing. Filled the kitchen with smoke.The next question is, am I stupid enough to order another one. I really need my oven working again asap. Stayed tuned for another update.

This item worked for almost a year and burnt out had to replace the stove. It worked when it did but onl lasted a year
