I ordered this easel for my father-in-law's celebration of life. It was perfect to hold the board with his photo. Some say it isn't sturdy, but it depends on how you pose it and what you are using it for. This was a foam backed board and it was ideal. It will be used for my daughter's high school graduation open house next year!

For what I needed this easel for, it works splendidly. However, I can see some people who might be upset that it is flimsy. I don’t think anyone is going to be expecting heavy duty action out of it and for that I think it works great. It’s very compact and easy to set up and tear down. It’s not the most stable thing in the world, but it does hold up a sign if that’s what you need it for.

I needed an easel to hold a sign that would ask my then-girlfriend to marry me. This is easy enough, but I needed to be mobile. I was surprising her in her hometown and she tracks my location, so I couldn't be moving around the city with a large easel. This easel folds up and comes with a carrying pouch, so it's very portable. I kept it in the water bottle holder in my backpack the whole time until I needed it. It's also very lightweight, so it didn't weigh me down at all.I also used this easel at a conference. I was skeptical at first because it doesn't look very professional, but I had other signs as well so I was hoping it would blend in. No one noticed it! Not one person. In fact, this easel made my life easier during set up and clean up, so I'll definitely be taking it with me to more conferences.Overall, I'm very happy with this easel. It's portable, lightweight, and easy to use. It's not the most professional-looking easel out there, but it gets the job done and it's a great value for the price.

Very sturdy and can be used for multiple projects. Great for larger display boards. We use them to display large spec sheet boards at RV shows. We don't have to worry about them getting knocked over as the easel is very sturdy!

If you are familiar with modern tent poles, these are designed based on that technology. They are tubes with elastic "shock cord". Take it out of the bag, hold the top of the tripod assembly, and the legs just assemble themselves. To take down, just start at the top, pull each section (three at a time) apart, fold and continue down each section, pulling and folding. Slip in the bag, and you are done. The supports that hold the poster/canvas/picture fold down and clip into place. Height is adjustable for these supports. The feet have non-slip caps, and it appears no tension lines between 3 the legs are needed, unless you have a really slippery surface. Any item you display MUST be stiff because base is only supported at two points. Storage, transport, assembly and disassembly make this tripod a dream for setting up quick, simple, temporary displays for presentations and events.

This easel is very sturdy and easy easy to assemble. It reminded me of tent poles. When I’m not using it, I can collapse it down into the bag and it is easy to store in a small place. It actually held a 4 foot wide picture and was stable while I painted.

It's definitely not super sturdy but it gets the job done and folds up nice and small.

Had to return it as it was too frail for the photo I wanted it for.
