Also available without Quick Release buckle (BC1058-1.5). Using a crotch strap allows divers to fasten the harness and backplate securely to the body, ensuring more uniform trim and buoyancy characteristics in-water. I have an Aeris EX200 back inflation BC. And it would always ride up around my waist while I dove. I added this crotch strap, and the BC is way more comfortable now. It feels much more stable in the water, and I love having the D-ring behind my butt. It is really easy to reach with either hand, and you can clip things there, and not even notice they are there for the rest of the dive.I have noticed some wear from the strap in the groin area of my wetsuit, but nothing major.I will add a crotch strap to all of my future BCs!

The strap did exactly what I needed it to do. It is very comfortable and not stiff. The D rings were in the right spot for me but one can be adjusted if needed

The item in the description has a plastic buckle for donning and doffing. An essential component that I need on this piece of equipment, hence ordering. The item i was sent is just a nylon strap with some D rings.
