Well machined, goes deep into the hose. Much better than the plastic ones from Home Depot, especially if you need to fix a 3/4 or a 1" hose. Another review commented on the need for hose clamps under pressure - that's probably more of a function of your hose and the water pressure in your pipes. I had no issues without the clamps, but installed a couple anyway - as a quick and cheap insurance and not due to any fault in the product.

Works - until you pressurize hose & it comes apart again. Go ahead & order stainless clamps (2) because you'll need them too.
