First, the things I appreciate about this kit: the kits (I ordered two) came quickly and very nicely packaged in a plastic separator case which keeps the pieces nicely segregated. It also includes a few extra pieces as well as some wire, which is intended, I presume, for the creation of fingers (or a prehensile tail perhaps?). It also includes a few latex finger protectors to keep the super glue (not included) off your fingers. While this last addition was appreciated, the tips themselves were quite small for my hands, which, while not huge, are a bit on the large side. The rims of the latex tips really dug into my fingers. Now for the things that could stand improvement: the rods and threads are M2 size, which means they're quite small - this same kit made with M3 materials would be so much stronger and easier to assemble! Again, the small size is a bit of an issue for folks with above-average sized hands. This is made worse by the fact that the rod ends are apparently not buffed or cleaned up after they're cut to length. What this means is that the rods are often difficult to start to thread into the holes of the balls, which really becomes an issue if you've already put on the super glue. I know that not all of my rods seated home in the balls on the first armature. I'm hoping that they don't fail when I use them. I have one more armature to assemble, and I'll clean up the rod ends myself. It just would have been nice (and expected) for this to have been done at the shop before they were sent out.All that said, for a lightweight armature, it feels pretty good, and I suspect it will animate just fine.UPDATE: Now that I've assembled the armatures and put them to use, I've found that the parts really are too small to use well. For instance, everything is M2 thread, which makes rigs from the back really tough to secure, at least for me. Plus, the compression plates don't stay consistently tight; some loosen pretty quickly and pretty substantially. So while this armature may be fun to play with, don't count on it for anything important. I'm giving it a two-star rating because of this.

Wow I wasn’t expecting such a nice armature for that price but I was pleasantly surprised. It’s super easy to assemble and works flawlessly.

It took like 2 hours to assemble and even though everything is tightened and I followed every instruction... it will not hold a pose whatsoever. So if you want to but a useless set of tin screws that loosely and limply hang off each other then this is the product for you. If you want something that works then buy something else. Huge waste of time.

Bought for a stop-motion project. Kit arrived quickly. Assembly is a bit tricky because you have to fix the balls onto the threaded rods with super glue. I found these glued joints to fail on one hip and one shoulder. They were reglued and allowed to dry overnight. The next day I tightened all the joints without fail. The armature moves well, however tie down screws have to be purchased separately. I am currently building up the puppet. An update will follow after completion/animation.

Amazon’s delivery is great. However the items I purchased have been very difficult to assemble. May I suggest that a finished model to be sold online?
