I bought these because we were decorating my son and his football teammates lockers for their senior game night. We all wanted to hang an customized football ornament for the boys. These magnets were so strong that once we put them in the lockers we could barely pull them off. It took a whole lot of strength to pull these magnets off. Most of the boys just left the magnets in their lockers cause they couldn't pull them off. These are extremely strong. So just be warned.

If you have a smooth metal surface, you'll be shocked how strong these are. Gave two to a friend for a gate issue he had. Called me embarrassed cause he tried to "test" it out and now couldn't get it off the surface he'd stuck it to, and he's not a little wimp. If this happens to you, remember leverage! Use a pipe and hook a rope though the carabiner and then you can leverage it up and away. These have been very handy.

I bought these to hang a couple of cheap strings of lights from a metal ceiling. I'd purchased a different set of a similar product that just didn't provide enough of a secure attachment. These little guys take their job seriously. Strong magnet, well made. Now that I know how well they work, I can think of a dozen other uses.

I didn't really think these magnets would be as powerful as they are. I am using them to hold up a tarp for a shade on my patio. Stuck it on the metal frame, and I can barely get it off! Even sliding it laterally, it is very hard to remove. I placed a couple layers of canvas under it to try to reduce the lifting force, but it is still very difficult to remove. The only drawback to these magnets is that the carabiner will fail long before the magnet will let go. If you want a magnet that will stay stuck, this is it!

We needed magnets to hold a large banner on the side of our office. The magnetic hooks held the banner in place even on windy days. Very good product and worth the money!!

These things are very strong. We use them to hold on our kitchen table cloth. One broke after a while though, so know they may not last forever, but they're still worth it.

To be fair, these are amazing little magnets. They are ridiculously strong.But that's also the problem. They are so strong that I wish you good luck getting them off of certain surfaces without resorting to extreme methods. I stuck one on a steel I-beam and had to hammer it sideways to an edge to remove it, because not only could I not pull it straight off, I couldn't even slide it to the side by hand. On anything painted or powder-coated, you'll almost certainly scratch the finish trying to remove one of these.And in contrast, the attached carabiners are tiny and not very sturdy, and I'm confident that you could easily break either the carabiner or the attachment point trying to pull the magnet off of a surface (I haven't destructively tested one yet).In this size category, I would strongly recommend choosing a less powerful magnet. You don't need this much strength for any task suited to this size of carabiner.

Didn't quite have the strength I was looking for, even a few pounds of pressure lower than what the max is rated at and these give out, but in the end I was able to make them work for what I needed. Just don't put anything expensive or breakable on them.

Used to hold down cargo net in truck bed. Does the job.
