with this dongle, you have more functions on the DJI power station.first, you need to download app to cellphone.for android, the app is downloaded as apk, not from the play store. need to install manually.second, you need to update firmware of your power station if needed.You need to download DJI assistant 2 (Power) and install on your PC.after installed, run the app. it shows a picture to connect USB.turn off your DJI Power 1000 first.press and hold power and AC button together until it shows LOAD on the screen.then connect USB-C cable between PC and the left USB-C port on the power station.The PC app will show DJI 1000 icon, click it and follow.before start firmware update, connect AC input power. This is required during update procedure, otherwise it will fail.No one, even DJI manual, says this. I got failed multiple times and thought mine was defected but no. need AC input during firmware update.you can connect this DJI Power 1000 with your phone app after firmware is updated.You will get these extra functions from the app via the dongle.1) checking statuscurrent input / output powercurrent battery status2) change options (these functions only available from the dongle. cannot change without it.)setting discharge / recharge limit of the batterydisplay timeoutdevice idle timeout (can set never)AC idle timeout (can set never)charging adapter (from car or from solar panel) input limitI think we should be able to change these setting without dongle, but have to purchase the dongle for changing these setting.

Does exactly what it says it does. It'd be nice if there waa an API to pull ftom for Home Assistant. But, alas, I need yet another app on my phone.It takes up a valuable SDC slot for something their competitors have integrated into the unit. Same with MPPT. Ugh.The next generation of DJI Power products will hopefully be better and learn from the competition.

Edit: Dongle wont work unless the Power 1000 unit has been updated to latest firmware. Unfortunate that, that is not clearly mentioned anywhere and I had to find that out by researching online - otherwise i would have followed through with the return.Just got the dongle today for a brand new dji power 1000. Doesnt even work/turn on.

ドングルを手にして感じたのは『保管どうしよう』でした。Bluetoothイヤホンケースくらいの大きさ。Wi-Fi接続機器。端子のある出っ張り形状。雑に扱うと壊してしまいそう。安くはないし、本体に接続したままだと常にWi-Fiから最新状態求めてるし。というわけで、イヤホンケースで保管することにしました。セミハードケースで、ケーブル類と同じバッグに保管すれば安心。困っていたらオススメです!

本体を買った人が、PCと接続してファームアップをすることで、スマホ等のアプリで本体のデータ等が見れるようになるデバイスです。セッティングはちょっと面倒だけど、ちゃんと取説見れば大丈夫です。アプリからの使い勝手は良好です。
