This works as described, but if you have a good auto-focus system, it really is just an extra without need. If your trying to use it for zoom, it also works well, however I found it difficult to use the zoom meaningfully while controlling all the other variables, its far easier to just move your body.The fact that it has a 12mm rod is infuriating, since all rods are 15mm...

I don't have any other follow focus systems, but this is really nice, lots of adjustability through me Ronin rs 3, you can adjust the speed, hard stop points if you're using a lens that doesn't have any, and it auto calibrates for lenses that do.I just wish dji would have made wifi or Bluetooth controller for the Ronin series that would pair with the unit, it would open up a lot more possibilities.

I use its on zoom ring. Which is stiff than focus ring. Responded me without fail or slip.Make sure you mount it well. Motor wont move but if ur camera is on just one screw then ur camera might move. Use any string for lense and motor rod.

I recently upgraded to a dji Ronin Rs 3. I use a 24-70, but need the focus wheel to obviously zoom. The focus motor is fantastic, and is super responsive to the wheel on the Ronin.Set up was easy, and the instructions weren't difficult to understand. However, if you do struggle there are a lot of YouTube videos on it.My only piece of advice would be is ensure your Ronin has updated firmware. In order for the motor to become compatible it'll require it. Then when you go into your dial settings you'll be able to set it.
