Saw some people got some that came chipped and I guess im one of those people now. Mine came with a medium-sized chip near the side. Nothing too bad but im not keeping this for long. Also, it scratches very easily. I know how to spin my top correctly and even then it still leaves very noticeable scratches.

It’s nice strong and looks great. I’ve dropped the spinner on it and it held up with no scratches it don’t move with the rubber ring and the double sided dish is awesome to just a bonus. It’s perfect size for a dear or tool box like I use it.

The concave is gentle enough to not affect spin much, but helps the top center instead of cruising around the table, lol.

The rubbery rim and heavy, glass, gently concave lens assure that this spin base will stand still and will be free of transmitting vibrations to or from a spinning top. The 4 inch diameter is more than sufficient to spin my largest metal spin top which is over 2 inches in diameter. I like being able to place a slip of paper beneath the lens to mark the low spot (when a table is not quite level) and watch how the top spirals toward it. The marked paper also provides a precise target when spinning.

This is, so far, a nice little base for spinning tops. It is well engineered, good build quality. We shall see how is holds up to a few hard top impacts!

Has enough concaveness to keep the top in one area, but enough to see it moving around. Tested with both string wound and finger spun tops, works well with both. Both sides can be used. There is a spot on one side where the spring wound top would start buzzing(perhaps a rough spot?) but it’s too small to be felt with a finger. I’m overall satisfied, would recommend.
