Very nice tapestry needles for needlework. These have elongated eyes. This size is a bit small if using thick yarn, so check that they match the size to the material. I have used DMC needles for years, and they always perform well until i lose them.

[Sue's husband's review and comments]Large eye, but not so wide it leaves a big hole when stitching heavy fabric. Not a 'needle' point, but shorter and broader: still pointed, but not quite so painful when misjudgments occur as they are wont to do at my age. Darning socks, stitching light duck: exactly what I needed.So many of the Q&A don't specify what size needle they refer to when stating lengths, making them worse than useless. Even the 3 answers to my question varied, and were all wrong (though 2 were close enough, all things considered.)

These needles were too small for my purposes (crochet), but I suppose that that was my fault for not reading the description more carefully. They are too small for crochet. However, I believe that they would be suitable for tatting or embroidery.

These work great for my plastic canvas crafting. I normally use 7-count plastic canvas and these work well. Now I have some extras on hand for when I accidentally misplace one (i.e. it falls down through the couch cushions).

Son gruesas, pero como las necesitaba para hacer blackwork en tela de cuadrille (el que se usa para punto de cruz). Entonces no me preocupaba con los hilos gruesos (cordones de 8 y 12). Para hebras de 1-2 hilos es mejor comprar las agujas de bordar (amarillas) que vienen tmabién con punta redondeada y que son más delgadas y no abren tanto el cuadro de la tela.

I needed the needles in a hurry for a group of children to use in sewing lessons. These were absolutely ideal: large eyes which the children could thread themselves; thick enough for them to hold/see firmly/clearly; easily went through Binka Material.The only downside was the postage and package costs: the 4 packs of needles cost £4.20 (bargain!), but the post and package cost £4.99- couldn't quite see how putting 4 packs of needles into an envelope could cost 4 times more that for 1 pack (minimal extra weight involved!) - this would probably make me look elsewhere if I needed to purchase again, when I had more time to look around. Needles great though, and swift delivery
