This contractor-grade open reel measuring tape is ideal for survey work, power, utility work, and general distance measurement, and is constructed with tough dielectric fiberglass reinforced tape and a high impact ABS reel. A ground spike is located at the bottom of the reel to aid with accurate placement when measuring surfaces. This tape includes both foot and meter measurements for easy conversions and improved accuracy, and is graduated to 1/8 inches and 2 millimeters.

I have mixed feelings about this product ...It is very well made, and very fairly priced. but:It did not work out of the box, and the directions are woefully inadequate.Turns out the batteries, 2 AAA, were dead, and there is no mention how to change them.There are 3 screws under the handle, only one of which opens the battery compartment.Installing new batteries fixed the problem.Also. there is a plastic arrow hanging from the hub, evidently tp mark the starting point. This is unnecessary and noisy. T removed and discarded it.

I had to use it to measure the back side of my property and that meant weaving through trees and sticker bushes and Vines and all kinds of wildness. It was perfect it wasn't cheaply made it rolled up very quickly. Definitely a good value for the money. It's not cheap and cheesy. It may not be contractor quality, but unless that contractor is using it daily to measure 300 ft it would last a contractor a long time. And all I would need is a modicum of care and not abuse it and it will last a very long time.

This is perfect for measuring distances between bases, the pitching rubber, as well as the distances to the fence. All baseball and softball coaches or field crew teams should have one of these.

This is a great tape measure, but there is a learning curve, if you’re not used to running one of these. I had to keep remembering to flip the handle down to lock the measurement into place, otherwise the tape measure loosened and I had to take the time to rewind. I give it 4 stars for this reason, other than that, this is great for long distance measuring.

Good tape, found my property line stakes. Only issue was gap for tape allows tape twist which had to be correct to reel tape. Once corrected tape worked great.
