Works great! Been in the lake for about a month now. Seems pretty solid. Not too tough to put together.Glad I got the 5 step. As a full size, 60 yr old human, it is sure nice to have that lower step to start with.

The dock ladder is very sturdy and easy to put together. It does not come with the bolts to secure to your deck.

I wanted a 5-step dock ladder to replace our 4-step which wasn't quite long enough. This one is good. Not amazing but adequate. It's not as wide as I'd like, and like others have said, it does have some semi-sharp edges on the step edges (where it attaches to the vertical pole). But it seems sturdy enough. Instructions aren't great but you can figure it out. After maybe a few attempts. It only really fits together one way. And considering it was $150 less than local marinas for a 5-step they would have to order and wait 5 weeks for (this came in 24 hours), it's good enough for me! I will probably file the sharp edges down when I remove it in the fall. It's aluminum, so it won't be too difficult. Oh, I am 170lbs and it feels sturdy to me, mounted on our new aluminum dock. Not as sturdy as our square pole welded ladder, but it feels like it easily would support 250lbs.

Instructions were simple & intuitive to follow and, I believe, after reading them carefully, and looking hard at the descriptive picture, I was able to install the ladder completely in about 30 minutes or less. I read other reviews that some edges were jagged but I did not find this to be true. Sure the metal pipe was cut in the manufacturing process but left no sharp edges that could cut once installation was complete. Once finished & bolt heads tightened, it became an amazingly sturdy little ladder that I will screw onto my floating dock and so give us an easy method of coming up out of our salt water river. Good product, thanks, and easier than me fabricating one out of wood which I originally thought I'd do.

We loved it, used it for our pool connected to steps. Looks nice but very quickly began oxidizing in the pool. Well today about a year after use the bottom two steps literally cracked in half as my husband and kids got out. Now it’s incredibly sharp: for the price I’d hope to get at least 2 summers of use out of it

We live on the river and have a dock. Our kids swim in the river, even with the muddy water. (I haven't told them about the catfish yet...) To get back on the dock they would have to climb up the boat ladder and then onto the dock. This solved that problem easily. The only issue with it is that it doesn't line up perfectly with the joists of the dock, but that isn't the fault of the ladder. That just is what it is.It is very stable and easy to use. When I pull the dock out this winter I am going to make something that I can attach it easier every spring. I wasn't going to jump in the water to do that. Too many catfish!
