I have two very crazy German Shorthaired Pointers and they love to nest and scratch their dog beds. I spent alot of money of two orthopedic beds but my mail GSP has torn through the covers on both beds while scratching to nest. I saw that these were heavy duty so I ordered two of them. They are awesome, he has been scratching and nesting and cannot tear them. They are a bit noisy when he does this but I am more than willing to put up with that for a few minutes rather than keep buying dog bed covers. They also don't attract dog hair which is another plus.

Fits my dog bed perfectly! One of my kittens peed on it & it wiped right off & I was able to clean & disinfect it without anything seeping into the mattress itself. Good strong quality. The dog stays in the pond a lot & when she lays on it wet, the mattress stays dry! We both love it!

The zipper is something you would use for a garment. Very thin and fragile. My tiny dog broke it in less than 24 hours. It would be better even if the zipper was located in a different spot and shorter. I sew so I’m going to try to fix it up, replace the zipper. Anyway if your pet is literally doing more than resting on this I feel this is not a good choice.

This is our second cover , the only reason for this is that one of our GSD puppies broke the zipper within literally a few seconds. The first cover was on the puppies Mother’s bed that was outside of the puppy pen , when we let them all out to play a couple of them found the sound and texture of the bed cover interesting and started jumping on it . As soon I saw one pup start playing with the zipper, smacking it with her little paw and then “tasted “ it with her little teeth I quickly picked her up and moved her over to the other pups , that is when my wife noticed that the zipper did not look right . Upon further examination it was apparent that a couple of zipper teeth had popped open and when I tried to fix them the whole zipper just opened up and I could not get it back together.So we ordered another another one and it has held up just fine with the older dogs and we now just pick up the bed before letting the puppies out to play .We intend on buying several more for our other larger dogs as we are pretty happy with the overall quality of the product. The only thing that needs to be improved upon would be a better quality zipper, or even better yet quality metal snap fasteners spaced every three to four inches to keep the bag closed when being moved around along with allowing ease of getting the padded bed out, ventilation and ease of drying if any moisture remained in the bag after being laundered and the bedding reinserted . I hope that this helps the manufacturer and any future buyers.

Make sure you are looking for a more of a vinyl look / feel top water proof cover and not something of a softer feel to go over doggy bed. Living in south Louisiana this will work great because this cover seems to be cooler than other canvas type material covers.

We've got a senior dog who has bladder leaks, plus two other dogs, and they all share a couple of large dog beds we've got in a corner. Between the bladder leaks and the overall "dog" smell that accumulates on the beds, it was starting to stink up our entire downstairs, even after washing the bed covers.I got these covers in hopes that it would remedy that, and it has! We got rid of the old beds, and put a new bed in one, and a bunch of old bed pillows in another, and the dogs love them. One of our dogs prefers to be able to push her bedding around the way she likes it, so having one of the covers filled with pillows that aren't a solid mass is wonderful for her.No more smell, and if there are accidents we can simply spray sanitizer and wipe away. Only reason I put 4 stars for "chew proof" is because I don't believe any of them has tried to chew them yet. But they are both still in great condition after several months of use.

Very poorly made. Zipper broke within 1 hour of use. Fabric is flimsy, and zipper construction is cheap. Spend a little more and get a better brand. I'm giving 2 (instead of 1) star because perhaps if you had a tiny, elderly dog this would be fine. But for a 60-pound dog, this cover just gave out. In less than an hour.

The first one I bought my dog chewed up, the 2nd one keeps having the zipper bust, I like the quality, zipper is a little flimsy

Though it did arrive in the stated time window, the product which was suppose to be made of an Oxford type fabric, is actually made of a material simular to a vinyl rain coat. So, after waiting patiently for a almost week for it arrive, I am very disappointed to say the least & because I was in a bind because of an existing damaged dog bed, I had no choice, but to use it.. .
