It's not tight over the face so he can drink or eat a treat, but when he pulls it shuts his mouth and forces his head to turn toward me. Straps are light to medium weight. I've been using it nearly daily for over three months now and there have been no issues with breakage.

This gentle leader fit great on my 20lb poddle mix. The only downside is that the chin strap doesn’t stay snug. The whole things fits perfectly however he’s able to easily slip out of the chin strap. A slider I think would help keep it a bit more snug. But overall does it’s job when it’s not slipping off.

It’s made well and sturdy, but the snout sizing just wasn’t right for our doodle. We bought a medium and a small and both were too roomy.

My boy is a leash puller and strong. It was getting to the point I could barely walk him. Now we enjoy walks together and my back isn’t sore after.

My 40lb pitbull gets this off in about 10 seconds. I work in animal care so I know how to fit these so if your dog doesn't want to wear it, they won't.

Been buying gentle leader brand leashes for a long time. My dog is very wild. So this helps. The gentle leader brand has a buckle that is constantly getting tassled and broken. This design seems to be working better and is looking more durable.

I was skeptical that the harness wouldn't fit properly because there was no way to snug it up under the chin and I was right because without a slider the harness under his jaw ends up in his mouth like a horse bit and he chews it trying to get it out of his mouth and has nearly chewed through the webbing.
