The vests are great so far.Get compliments on them all the time. Per the measurements, the vest fits great around the body, but for my dogs, both were way too big around their necks so I moved the velcro and clasps. (They fit great now)Chief complaint: the plastic pieces they give you for the tail are garbage! (They are thin, brittle clear plastic that snap I bent too far)(they WILL bend too far)I took an old mouse pad and used their plastic ones as templates. I cut eight out (four for the two vests and four for in my gear as backup) They work GREAT!Suggestion: make a duckbill style floatable flap for in front of chest/under chin so when they are in the water, the flap cradles their head.

This fit my 20lb dog really well.She's never swam in her life but she was able to jump in and stay floating. We even got caught up in a storm and I think this helped her a lot when our board flipped. It does exactly what a life jacket should do. The handle on the back also came in handy when pulling her up on the board.Only one gripe about it, is the little plastic pieces that hold the fin up fall out really easily and can get lost, as they are see through.

I purchased this product due to the fact that my family was going to Minnesota and this was the first year we brought our dog with. He does not care for water so I figured a life jacket would make him and me more comfortable having him on the water on the boat and in the water. He is a 25lb beagle and the medium fit him perfectly. He did not seem to mind having it on one bit. It did it’s job and kept him afloat while he was in the water. The only downside is the fin didn’t like to stay up but that did not affect the functionality of the jacket at all.

I got this for my lab who loves to swim but gets scared when she can't touch the bottom. She doesn't dislike it by any means and I noticed she's more confident playing with her friends at the pup beach now.Pros:Very cuteEasy to Put OnHas a Harness Grip for LeashesCons:Chafes her UndersideFin Won't Stay UpNot as Much Floatation Help as I WishStitching started to come undone because she pulled on the leashProbably fairly good for smaller dogs. I have a pug who is on the smaller side (for now). I got a small. I love that the Velcro goes large enough to wrap around a smaller dog, but if he grows it will still be fine without having to purchase a bigger one. It's perfect. And so cute.
