These are very solid and work well for pushups and other body weight exercises. As noted by others, some hand-fitting is required to get this performance with no wobble. I did add tape to the bar ends to snug them into the support brackets, and did need to drill holes for the screws. In other words, plan to have the ability to drill the proper hole and have some tape for shimming. The bars did come with some tape on them, so it seems like the company tried to countermeasure for the loose fits other noticed, but mine required a bit more diameter on some, not all ends. In all, it easy for me to do this but it takes some tools and common sense.

Love these. Very sturdy. Easy to assemble. Wood is smooth and comfortable on the hands. Very stable when using because of wide feet. I recommend highly.

These are a sturdy as you could want. Only drawback is you have to drill four holes on each for the screws. I recommend doing this with both ends of the wood in the end pieces and lay it on it side on a flat and level hard floor. Drill one hole, insert screw, drill the other, insert screw, then flip it over and do the other side. Do this before putting the rubber feet on. See photo. The screws are already in here, but I'm pointing to where the hole is on each side of each end.

It looks good and probably would be really nice to use but man the installation is HARD if you don’t have a drill.I tried to install the screws without drilling holes (since I don’t have an electric drill ) man it almost broke my hand cos it’s HARD wood. They are very flimsy and unstable after installation. The screws are very weak and easily broke downWill be returning those

Good height. Wood bars are a good diameter so it doesn’t hurt palms to put press on your hands. Very sturdy. Easy to move around the house. Otherwise not that portavle.

Upon receiving the item, I was thrilled because the metal bases and wooden bars looked and felt solid. However, I soon realized that there are no drill holes in the wooden bars, which is not detailed in the product description. So I had to buy an electric drill to put it together.I'm a pretty thorough, meticulous guy, but after making pilot holes and drilling the screws in, the completed bars were wobbly. The only way to fully stabilize it was to unscrew it a little, which then made the metal bases less tight against the wooden bars. Also, one of the screws broke while I was drilling it in, so I had to use another similar sized screw.I've used many calisthenics equipment but this one is by far the hardest to put together (due to how precise you have to be to perfect it) and dissatisfactory upon completion. I recommend buying another product that 1) clearly outlines what to expect upon item arrival 2) is high quality enough to justify the price.*Update: That said, the customer service is excellent. The seller was very kind and understanding and provided a full refund. For that reason, I'll consider buying from them again in the future. In the meantime, I recommend the seller to update the product details and make it easier to put together for customers. The quality of wood and metal bases is superb, and I'd pay more if it came with pilot holes.

As some of the other reviews mention, the wood parts do not come with pre-drilled holes and no instruction for assembly. Beyond the 8 screws provided, the sturdiness of the parallettes depend on the masking tape (provided) to fill out the gap between the steel legs and the wooden dowel.In my case the tape was sufficient to get a snug fit. The process with the tape was a bit of a nightmare. To get it snug without a wobble it basically had to get bunched up inside so I used a hammer and wood blocks to manage to insert it. I also had to trim off some of the excess tape that would get bunched up so that it would continue to slide in with the hammering technique.The wood and the steel frame are both absolutely SOLID. So the hammering felt appropriate. Seems like the materials are industrial quality like you'd see in a public space like hand rails and such.Once I managed to get the pieces assembled (took a while of taping, hammering, adjusting and trimming off the excess bunched up tape) there was no wobble at all and was hard enough to rotate that you wouldn't necessarily need the screws. I chose to make it super solid because I want to be safe while performing more dangerous hand balancing tricks and also to be able to take full advantage of how solid the material is. In another review here there is a video showing a wobbly one and I bet they didn't use the tape at all which is why I didn't want to just rely on the screws to keep it in place.I pre-drilled through the tape and screws went in perfectly. The only thing I am not pleased with is that because of the whole tape method, there is still some white tape visible between the black steel and the wood! I tried so hard to hammer it in close enough and also cut the excess tape off using a thin blade but alas there is still bits of visible tape left and it would only really bother you if you are a bit OCD about its aesthetic -- because they are beautiful to have around (unlike most exercise equipment).Now that it's assembled (after about an hour) I am so happy with these parallettes! I also enjoyed the process of assembly as it allowed me to ensure I get the sturdiness I prefer and feel more involved in the process. It's like getting an IKEA furniture but you do need your own drill and screw driver. I bought these as a replacement for other parallettes I had built before using wood and PVC piping. The set up in these felt enjoyable like the other ones but with less work and way higher quality materials. So if you want a project with all the materials you'll need, look no further!Overall, I am thrilled with these. They are gorgeous to have around the house which definitely makes me want to use them more. They are absolutely solid, heavier than any others I've ever seen, the thickness of the handles are perfect and the height is ideal for a medium set of parallettes. Definitely worth it for the price, especially compared to other options available.

Once assembled which is quick and easy with a couple raps of tape on the ends, these bars are great and very sturdy!One problem: they neglected to put the rubber on the bottom of my set so mine slip and slide everywhere, I have to go find some rubber to glue on the bottoms which is an annoyance. Would recommend if not for the missing rubber

Need pre-drilled holes or it will wobble. Better would be preassembly. The screws are very cheap and will break if over-tightened. Would be interested to know if anybody has been able to assemble without wobble since tightening any screw will cause base misallignment. Poor quality and poor planning. Will not purchase same brand again.

Wish I had listened to the other review about how bad these are to install. The wood has no pre drilled holes, I tried to screw into the wood and they would only go 3/4 of the way in before rounding off so I couldn't get them back out either. I managed to get 1 screw in properly but the others made the structure unusable. I don't understand why they can't pre drill the holes like other brands do. All in all a total waste of time!
