These lamps are designed to mimic the natural heat of the sun and can be used in a variety of enclosures, including terrariums, aquariums, and cages.

DOMICA Reptile Heat Lamp

50W UVA+UVB Bulbs

  • This bulb provides 50 watts of heat and light for your dragon to bask in.
  • It has 97% UVA and 3% UVB to mimics sunlight and to help increase natural behaviors.

  • UVA radiation comes from light and can be provided by a good basking bulb. This type of light is essential for a reptile’s vision.
  • UVB comes from light like UVA, and it allows vitamin D to be produced in humans and animals. Most species of reptiles are unable to use dietary vitamin D, so they must get it from exposure to UVB.

It works well. Maybe too well. It got so hot it melted part of the terrarium lid.

I loved it then I hated it. I went to go see if the bulb had blown because the light stopped working and all of the insides came out on my hand while I was unscrewing the bulb. Now my snake has no hear source til can get a new one. Thanks a lot.

It worked well for about 3 months with no problem. Then it stops working all of a sudden, the wires inside the housing seemed to be weak and frayed off from the connection. Maybe this was a defective one? Hopefully the seller can send me a replacement, if not this failed pretty quickly and would not recommend.

The light i was using for Tommy broke 3 days ago, so this came in quickly which helped! It's size Id great because it focuses heat better than bigger heat lamps.Tommy climbed up under the lamp right away and had been there for over an hour.I think it being much closer and more focused is very pleasing in his mind.Definitely a steal with how little it costs!Best thing I've bought for Tommy in two years he's been alive.

I've bought other lights before for my other turtle tank without surprises, decided to try this one. Whoa, super strong. Be careful! It melted a plastic tank from further away. I wouldn't leave this on a timer or unsupervised. So I turn it on and stare at my turtle, feed it and so on for 15ish minutes before turning it off. Just to be safe.

Bought 2 of these for our geckos that don’t require high wattage lighting, and they work perfectly for them. Bright and warm. The clip is strong too. Bought a 3rd one for our newest member too.

I rescued an adult red eared slider that has never lived with a heat lamp before. I got the lamp because it has a timer, which would make things easier for me because I’m still learning on how to care for him. So if you’re forgetful this is a really good tool. The lamp came with a bulb. It also has a sturdy clip that I use to hang over the basking area I made for King Tut. You can also change the angle of the lamp. Cord is kind of short, but it’s no problem if the tank is right by an outlet, which mine is. My turtle absolutely loves basking under this light! He is now a very happy turtle.Update:This lamp worked great until now. I know the lamp is able to turn on because the buttons light up. However, it is not turning on the actual light bulbs. I tried 3 brand new light bulbs. I’m going to have to get a new lamp after 7 months of use.
