If you want a good pedal that just works, this one is a great choice, it doesn't slip on my tile floor and it works perfectly.

Performs well. Just wish that the grips were better at keeping the pedal in one place. Slides randomly on the carpet.

Polarity switch big plus. Replaced a 20 year old ES 4 pedal. I still use it for open mikes or jams.

Nice sustain pedal, comfortable pressure. Worked out of the box. Using it with Arturia Keylab MK1, and it was recognized immediately. Makes a big difference in playing piano, have to try it on some of my other keyboards.Really a dandy pedal for the money. would buy again. may buy another as a backup and for use on other keyboards. I've got a yamaha this would be so nice on....nice for home studio or other home use. Don't think it would last long on the road, but I may be wrong on this ascertion as I have not given it the musician's torture test....after a couple of weeks, i did notice it slides around a bit, so I added some velcro, just the spiky bit, on the bottom, since I'm using it on carpet. That did the trick. I also added some glow in the dark stars to make it easier to see in the late evenings. Still love the pedal though, just needed a few tweaks to make it operational in my envrionment..

I have my second Yamaha Grand keyboard, having upgraded after about 6 years when my previous one developed a problem with a couple of keys and was not reparable, although still playable if you did not use those keys! My main beef with these keyboards is that they do not come with a power cord or a damper pedal. You have to purchase the “survival pack†to get these items just so you can use it. The damper pedal that comes with that pack which cost me over $20 was a flimsy plastic thing which broke within a year, and I purchased one of these which is like having a real pedal like on a regular piano. When I bought my new keyboard both the power cord and pedal also works with it, so for almost 2 years my old one with the wonky keys has lived in a box under the bed. I decided to purchase a pedal and cord for it since I have offered the use of it for free to beginning piano students and since buying these parts was cheaper than I paid for the original “survival pack†I just figured it made sense to have the old keyboard operable for beginner practice or just messing around on in my basement.

Great Pedal - really good price. My other pedal cost me over $70. This one was under $20. (First was a Yamaha). This pedal was a bit stiffer than my Yamaha, but you quickly adapt. Great that it has a good long cable. Great that it has reversible polarity switch, which was needed right away. If you plug in the keyboard and the pedal sustains when you lift the pedal (which is reverse) you simply switch the polarity switch, and it corrects to your keyboard (where it sustains when you depress the pedal). I will definitely buy this unit again as needed, as I buy and sell keyboards from time to time - often times they don't come with a sustain pedal. Trust me, I've played for over 40 years, this is a Very Good quality pedal. Has a very light-weight feel, which puts some people off, but it stays put on the floor due to good base, and it has enough weight to compete with a pro-level Yamaha for sure. (Pro concert pianists would claim it is too light weight, but most pro piano players are used to a real piano, where the pedals are fixed solid.Tip: use a piece of duct-tape to keep your pedal in place, as they tend to slip around. (Not just this one -- - - all of them, even the Yamaha heavy-weight pedals. Small piece of duct tape, rolled into a loop or blob, stuck under the bottom of pedal, works great. Good buy, this pedal. Had it for several months, steady playing, no problems, works very well.

This pedal is exactly what I was expecting for the price I paid and so far it's doing the job well. This is a budget pedal and that shows in the weight, which is very light, so it easily gets pushed back with use, and the thinner gauge of the wiring to the keyboard, but quality seems about right for the price.

For the price this is all you need. Works perfectly on my brand new Roland amd sounds beautiful.
