Installation Kit - Screws & Wood Dowels
The Included 3" Screws (T20)
- The double cut design can cut off the wood fibers when the screw is driving in, making the screw penetration smoother and avoiding wood cracking.
- This design eliminates the need for pilot holes. However, when installing door hardware using this length of screw(3"), we still recommend pre drilling pilot holes in advance to avoid misalignment.
- Constructed with a thickened head to withstand high torque without breaking, more importantly, it allows the screw to be screwed out without deformation even after aging.

- Thin head that make it hard to screw out when need to replace the door hardware
Wood Dowels
- Comes with three dowels to fill the old screw holes (if needed).
- Fix the problem that the screw hole is oversized and the screw won’t tighten.
- Fill the old screw hole when need to drill new pilot hole for small adjustment.
- You can fill the screw hole directly or apply glue to the wood dowels to secure them.

This set comes with 3 strike plates, each with a different thickness, 3 wooden dowels, and 4 screws (2 long, 2 short).The strike plates are made of strong metal. They fit my deadbolt perfectly and actually allowed additional room for weather stripping to be added to the door for a better seal.Unfortunately, the screws had a star shaped hex head, which I did not have a drill bit for, so I had to use traditional screws, which worked fine.Overall this is a nice strike plate set for anyone needed to upgrade their door hardware.

I had an issue at a rental property where the gap between the door and the door jamb was slightly larger than normal. This caused the striker plate to be too far away for a reliable latching of the door. If you pushed hard on the door it would come open. Using the larger of the shims moved the striker plate out far enough for the door latch to work perfectly as designed. Very useful product for such situations.
