Doorbell transformer sends more power for doorbell and camera so when you push the doorbell button it will work and not do anything when pushed. Kind of heavy but sign of good construction. Easy to follow wiring instructions. At a great price. Would highly recommend this doorbell transformer. If doorbell chime is old would highly recommend ordering Newhouse CHM1 with this doorbell transformer. They really work with ring cameras doorbell systems.

Have a Google/Nest doorbell and the chime hasn't been working for some time. I checked the wiring and it would sometimes work, but most of the time not. I had already replaced the transformer when I installed the doorbell because it wasn't powerful enough to power the wired doorbell cam and all was well for quite a while. Replaced the doorbell chime first to no avail and finally replaced the transformer with this unit and it works beautifully! The quality and ease of installation makes this a no brainer, and the chime sound quality is superb!

This transformer replaced a lower capacity (10 VA) transformer that was about 20 years old. I installed a video doorbell, and from what I read I didn't think 10VA was adequate. The new doorbell worked with the old transformer, but I replaced the transformer anyway. This new transformer was easy to install. It doesn't hum or buzz. It appears to be well-made. I don't know if it will last 20 years, but for now it's working perfectly.

This is a very good product at a good price.If you need to get a larger VA transformer for your Ring Doorbell, this one will do the job.

Keeps breaking the second one in 3 months...and my return window closed like 3 weeks ago....thats how long the second one lasted smh. Irritating. Waste of time effort and NOW money

This transformer worked great and arrived very quickly. The old ‘doorbell’ transformer was supplying around 10 volts which was not adequate for our Ring Doorbell. We were receiving a low voltage warming from the app. The new unit gave us a 20 volt reading solving the problem. As a side note low voltage will definitely shorten the lifespan of the Ring unit.

This product is being sold in UK which is 220-240v supply, yet this device requires 120v supply.Ok for US, not for UK.
